Baldoni claimed in his lawsuit that Lively took measures to gain control over the hit movie. The lawsuit includes several charges, including civil extortion and defamation. In addition to Lively and Reynolds, the suit also targets her publicist Leslie Sloane, and Sloane’s PR firm, Vision PR, Inc.

Justin Baldoni is suing Blake Lively,Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane for $400 million (via People). The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, publicist Jennifer Abel, and crisis publicist Melissa Nathan. The lawsuit claims civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and intentional interference with contractual relations.

The lawsuit comes almost a month after Lively accused co-star Baldoni of creating a hostile work environment in a civil rights complaint filed on December 20. Baldoni first responded with a lawsuit against The New York Times, which published an article defaming him and siding with Lively.

Baldoni shared in the lawsuit against The New York Times that Lively constantly attempted to interfere in the creative process and threw tantrums on set (via Forbes). He further shared thathe was“aggressively berated”by Ryan Reynolds, who claimed that Baldoni fat-shamed Lively during the film.

He also shared that Lively tried to overstep Baldoni during the editing process and issued ultimatums to studio executives to shelve Baldoni’s version of the film. Lively’s attorneys had called the earlier lawsuit“a classic tactic”to“blame the victim.”

They responded to the new $400 million lawsuit, sharing,“This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook”(via People). They also claimed that evidence would show that the cast and others had their own negative experiences with Baldoni and his studio.
