As much as she is used to stealing the limelight for her unparalleled vocals and jaw-dropping acting charms, Ariana Grande has also become the talk of the town one too many times over her physique. Over the years, her body has undergone some seriously drastic transformations, which some may deem as her glow-up while others may raise health concerns over due to their severity.

Either way, Grande has earned herself a lot of attention over the decades since she debuted in the entertainment industry over the way she looked, and the current comments surrounding her are no different. The bullying remarks toxic fans have about her weight loss despite her having previously addressed it all are so brutal that they should really think twice before speaking.
Ariana Grande is Once Again Being Bullied on Her Physique
WhileAriana Grandehas been seen in a lot of different forms over the years which have been defined with words that range from ‘chubby’ to ‘skinny’ among others, her recent transformation is raising a lot of eyebrows. This is because she looks concerningly thin in her recently released images amidst the premiere and promotions of her upcoming musical fantasy,Wicked.
Unfortunately enough, just like pretty much every other time that she found herself under scrutiny over the way she looked, theBest Mistakesinger is once again making headlines over her weight loss. To say the least, toxic fans are once again popping up over social media to comment on her appearance and bully her over her transformation (see@13emldr’s tweet on X).

Of course, the statements from fans genuinely concerned about her health are one thing, but the trolling ones are actually taking it to a whole other level.
“Wicked” Cast: Here’s How Much Ariana Grande and Other Actors Earned for the Wizard of Oz Prequel
What’s worse is that this stands despite the fact that Grande has very openly previously addressed this very issue of fans commenting on her physique and has asked them to be gentler with their words.
In April last year, theVictoriousactress took to herTikTokhandle to quell the chatter around fans body-shaming her, saying,

Personally, for me, the body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants, drinking on them, eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that, in fact, wasn’t my healthy.
Adding to this, she said people need to be ‘gentler’ and ‘less comfortable’ while commenting on others’ bodies,no matter what.

You never know what someone is going through. So even if you’re coming from a loving place, a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with. You never know, so be gentle with each other and with yourselves.
Needless to say, the sincerity with whichAriana Grande delivered it allwas enough to tell everyone that it is never right to comment on someone—regardless of intent—as it places an inordinate amount of focus on appearance as a tie to self-worth and overall value.

But it seems like her toxic fans didn’t take her message seriously, considering how the commenting cycle has started yet again. But, at the same time, that’s not to say that her other fans aren’t defending her.
Ariana Grande’s Fans Are Defending Her From Toxic Fans
Though all of it is sincerely outrageous, this isn’t the first time that toxic netizens have tried to pull celebrities under the limelight to publicly body shame them. Previously, the lateChadwick Bosemanhad also been a victim of this very traumatic phase, which had people speculating that he was on drugs while talking about his physique when he was actually struggling with cancer in real life and was on medications the entire time.
Then there’s the case ofDave Bautistaas well, who, after toning down his body and losing weight to transform into a body he was more comfortable walking around in, found himself as the epitome of brutally bullying weight loss comments earlier this year. All in all, citing these very situations as perfect examples of just why people should really mind their own business instead of commenting on others’ bodies, here’s how fans are defending Ariana Grande on X:
you guys learned NOTHING from the chadwick bosemanpic.twitter.com/ReXmV1UYRw
same guys tweeting this would be calling her names if she was a little bit overweight, you may’t please the internet 🤦♂️
Some people suffer in silence…you never know what they’re going throughpic.twitter.com/2yuH3Wqe3f
Seriously bro like I hope she gets through whatever she dealing with 😭❤️pic.twitter.com/TkiwW9qinV
people were horrible to chadwick and he was such an amazing person, and she dont deserve this either, people needa let other PEOPLE breathe
Not here for the negative comments, but I do hope she’s in good health and everything‘s OK. They did Chadwick dirty on this app and then turned around and mourned.
people gotta stop with this shit. 💀
All in all,Ariana Grande’s recentweight loss has yet, once again, sparked both concern and bullying from her fans, despite her previous pleas for treating people with kindness and gentleness. But even as fans defend her, it’s clear that body shaming needs to stop, and empathy and understanding must be prioritised along with the recognition of all the harm that gets caused by thoughtless comments.
