Pokemon GOfirst introduced what is known as a Community Day back in 2018 with a focus on Pikachu and has become a monthly occurrence ever since, leading people to consistently wonder when is the nextPokemon GOCommunity Day as soon as the current one ends.
Community Day is a focus typically on one specific Pokemon, though we have had special instances where it was on multiple, such as the one that featured multiple past Community Day Pokemon.
On these days, spawns for anything but the Community Day Pokemon are almost non-existent, as there are special research tickets you can buy focused on that specific Pokemon and you want to have as many spawning as possible.
What Was The Most Recent Community Day?
The latest was held on July 30, 2025 and starred the Water-type sea otter Pokemon Oshawott from the fifth generation of games.
By evolving your second evolution Dewott into the final evolution Samurott during the Community Day, they were able to learn the charged attack Hydro Cannon. In addition, Samurott is now able to learn Razor Shell after the conclusion of the event.
This Community Day also featured a ticket known asFrom Scalchops to Seamitarsthat you could purchase to get additional items along the way.
Now that the Oshawott Community Day inPokemon GOhas concluded though, people are wondering about the next one already.
When Is The Next Event?
This isn’t a huge surprise that Niantic would choose a Ghost-type Pokemon for next Community Day considering it is being held in October in the month of Halloween.
Evolving Duskull to Dusclops during the event or the two hours after will reward players with a Dusknoir that knows the charged attack Shadow Ball.
There will also be a ticket available as always for $0.99, this time called Nothin' Dull About Duskull. In addition, there will be a special free timed research that will reward up to four Sinnoh Stones to help you with the evolution to Dusknoir.
Bonus wise, there will be a 3x Catch Stardust bonus and both Lures and Incense will last three hours during the duration of the event.
