The TV showFRIENDShas been the talk of the town ever since the show started airing back in 1994, and in the decades following, its popularity has only reached new heights across the world. Keeping that hype alive, and causing their millions of fans immense joy, the cast finally released a special reunion episode in 2021. While talking about their favorite parts and what made the show so magical, the topic inevitably turned to their favorite guest stars.
As the show was notorious for its ever-spinning door of A-list guests, from Reese Witherspoon, Danny DeVito, to Julia Roberts, it is no surprise that some of them would leave an impression on the cast for better or worse. Incidentally, Brad Pitt, too, is included in this list of guests who made an appearance on the show. Although he went on to get an Emmy nomination for his performance in that episode, according to him, it wasn’t really a smooth sail.
Brad Pitt Had a Tough Time on The Set ofFRIENDS
Carrying on the legacy of some of the finest actors,Brad Pitt, too, made an appearance inFRIENDSback in 2001, in a Thanksgiving special episode, while he was married to Jennifer Aniston. However, his time on the sets did not go as smoothly as he would have likely preferred. Speaking on this during an interview withAccessin 2019, Pitt narrated,
I flubbed my first line. We had to stop and start again.
In the episode, he played the role of Will Colbert, Rachel’s (Jennifer Aniston) childhood rival, who went to the lengths of starting an I hate Rachel Green club during high school.

Fortunately, though, after his initial fumble, he seemed to have had a good time with the“great cast,”as he iterated. According to him,“…they laughed and really had a great time with each other.”This seemed to have also helped him be comfortable there, which made himput his best work forward, as is evident by his Emmy nomination for the role.
David Schwimmer Commended Brad Pitt on HisFRIENDSPerformance
During the reunion,David Schwimmeralso showed his appreciation for Brad Pitt, stating,“Your fella, Brad,”speaking toJennifer Anistonwhile reminiscing about the guest stars. Aniston replied,“Pitt came [and] did one.”The actress also gushed about her ex-husband during the promotion for the reunion, stating,“Mr. Pitt was wonderful, fantastic,”in an interview withAccess Hollywood.
The former couple divorced in 2005, when Brad Pitt famously got involved withAngelina Joliewhile shooting for their movieMr. and Mrs. Smith.
However, they had a reunion at the backstage of SAG Awards, and again, a virtual reunion for the table read ofFast Times at Ridgemont Highin 2020, sending the whole world buzzing. Whatever their problems at the time of the separation might have been, it seems they are currently on good terms with each other.
