One of the most frustrating aspects ofModern Warfare 2andWarzone 2are the various different bugs and glitches that seem to keep cropping up with each new seasonal update. Though the game has come a long way since its launch, there are a great number of bugs still present within the game, and most of them seem to be exclusive to DMZ.

Though the game crashes tied to Building 21 and Faction Mission progress being reset are quite annoying to deal with, the most notorious bug is much different. Players have been experiencing a common issue with their chosen weapons in DMZ, where theirprimary weapon will simply vanish upon infilling into a match. Though it may seem like your weapon is lost forever, there are ways to mitigate the issue and even get your weapon back.
How To Fix The Missing Weapon Bug
There is in fact a way to fix this bug and get your weapon back after it mysteriously disappears upon infil. However, the solution willrequire a medium or large backpack- and your backpack’s weapon slot will need to be empty. You will also need to have equipped two weapons before deployment. Follow the steps below:
If you initially equipped three total weapons before deployment, then the process of fixing this bug remains relatively the same.

Preventing The Missing Weapon Bug
If the above method appears too complicated to you, there also does seem to be an alternative method you can try, one which will mitigate the risk of this bug occurring in the first place. This is to simplyremove your weapons from the loadout sectionof your Active Duty Operator menu, and thenre-equip them again.
The above method only prevents the issue from popping up in the following deployment and will need to be redone before every infil.
The bug also seems to commonly occur with edited weapon blueprints, so try toavoid using weapon blueprintsin DMZ until this issue has been resolved - if you want to avoid losing your gun altogether.
