Venom: The Last Dancestarring Tom Hardy in the lead is approaching, and soon we will have the movie on our screens. As per sources from Sony, this will be the last movie in the series. Every other day we have a new rumor running around about the movie, and now we have a brand new update aboutVenom 3.

Venom: The Last Dance

Sony Pictures just released the trailer forVenom: The Last Danceand it’s a lot to take in. We have Eddie and Venom, of course, but we also have some brand new characters in the mix. But while some characters seem new, the faces might feel familiar.

Venom: The Last DanceTrailer Makes Reference to Possibly 3 Seperate Spider-Man Universes

Venom 3just gave us it’s first trailer, with the movie set to release later this year. StarringTom Hardyas Eddie Brock, the movie will be his last hurray in this movie series. But with the recent update, we have a lot to dig into. Especially given that we have references to three different universes in the recent trailer.

“So no Venom in Spider-Man 4”: One Scene in Venom: The Last Dance Convinces Fans Sony Has Shut Down All Possibilities of Tom Holland vs Tom Hardy

From Rhys Ifans, who we can see in the trailer with a ukulele in hand, to Chiwetel Ejiofor playing Orwell Taylor, and lastly, we might have a 10 year-old Peter Parker. The connection here is that Ifans previously played the Lizard inAndrew Garfield‘sThe Amazing Spider-Man. Ejiofor obviously was inDoctor Strange 1, and then again inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where he played Karl Mordo.

And the last, the young Peter Parker refers to the recently releasedMadame Web, where we had a similar character in the mix. Also, this character might be pretty important to the storyline, given thataccording to a leakabout the plot ofVenom 3, Peter Parker might be the main focus of the upcoming movie. In a clip from the trailer, we see a young boy with two women, who fans are guessing to be Mary and May Parker.

So with all these visuals in front of us, it is hard to ignore the hints that are right in front of us. If we do get a connected story from these three different universes, it would surely be a treat for all fans. But there is one thing that fans have noticed to be missing from the recently released trailer.

Venom 3Trailer Does Not Give Us a Glimpse of Tobey Maguire’s Spiderverse

While the recent trailer has a reference to three different Spider universe, it does miss out on one very favored storyline. That is the Sam RaimiSpider-Mantrilogy, starringTobey Maguireas the main protagonist. We already had a Venom in the Tobey Maguire trilogy, where Topher Grace played the role of the antagonist. Which is not the case with the rest, as we never got a glimpse of the symbiote inTASM, or in the MCU untilSpider-Man: No Way Home. But even that was brief, and we know that it was a multiversal situation where Hardy’s Eddie Brock himself makes a cameo.

Many fans are also saying that it might beTASMSpiderverse that Venom gets pulled into after he leaves the MCU storyline. After hisNo Way Homeappearance, Eddie Brock and his Symbiote friend could very well end up in the Andrew Garfield universe, where the story ofVenom 3takes place. But these are only fan theories, so let’s wait until we can watch the movie and see for ourselves where the story leads us.

Venom 3will be in theatres on August 01, 2025.
