Ubisoft is less than pleased with howGhost Recon Breakpointhas performed since its release on Oct. 4. Co-Founder and CEO Yves Guillemot shared that the game not onlyfailed to hit sale expectations, but that its reception has been largely negative. He said thatUbisoft plans to adjust its strategies going forward–one of the reasonsWatch Dogs Legion,Rainbow Six Quarantine, andGods & Monstershave all been delayed to the next fiscal year.
Ghost Recon Breakpointisn’t being looked past yet, though. Ubisoft released its plans for the game in a post earlier today. That post starts by addressing the technical state of the game, which isn’t great. Reports of bugs and general stability issues have spread far and wide. Title Update 1.0.3 hopes to clean up these issues come mid-November by fixing drones, night-vision goggles, and the mission completion notification popup.
The post then moves onto post-launch content. The first of which will be a raid releasing in December called Project Titan. A Terminator live event will follow sometime after. Next up is a fix coming toGhost Recon Breakpoint’s in-game economy. The post doesn’t offer any details as to what this fix will look like and when it’s coming, but I imagine it might change the fact that there are two in-game currencies that can confusingly be used in tandem for the game’s ridiculous amount of microtransactions.
There are also plans to bring AI teammates back into the fold. No timeline on when that’s expected to happen. The last goalpost outlined forGhost Recon Breakpointis to somehow make it more tailorable. This part is especially light on details. All we know is that Ubisoft is working on a “more radical and immersive version ofGhost Recon Breakpoint.” I personally don’t know what that means but we’ll have details for you if and when they’re released. you’re able to read the full postherein the meantime.
Ghost Recon Breakpointis available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It’s also scheduled to arrive on Google Stadia. You can purchase it for$50at the time of this writing.
