Update #3:ÂDr. Disrespect has tweeted out that he still has no idea as to why he was banned from Twitch and asks his followers for their support while he continues to figure out the reasoning behind the platform’s decision.

Update #1:ÂAccording to Dexerto, Twitch streamer TimTheTatman said during his stream today that he spoke to Dr. Disrespect and that even he doesn’t know what is going on yet with the ban. “When I was talking to Doc he said ‘He was talking to Twitch to figure out what happened,” said Tim. There are alsomurmursthat Twitch will not be making a public statement regarding Disrespect’s ban, but of course, that remains to be seen. It is likely that if anything we will hear from Dr. Disrespect himself once the time comes.

Original Story:One of Twitch’s most well-known streamers Dr. Disrespect has seemingly been ban from the platform. A Twitter page called “Streamer Bans” tweeted out about the ban bringing the news to light. The Streamer Bans Twitter account specifically tweets out when a Twitch streamer gets banned. As of right now, there is no telling as to why the ban took place.

Twitch made a statement toPCGamerregarding the matter saying “As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.” Guy Beahm, the man behind the controversial persona has yet to make a statement on either Dr. Disrespect’s officialTwitterorhis own, but currently, there is no way to accessDr. Disrespect’s channel or content on Twitch.

This isn’t the first time Disrespect has been in hot water as last year he was temporarily suspended after streaming inside a men’s bathroom at E3 2019. If Disrespect is truly banned that would come to a relative surprise as Twitch signeda multi-million multi-year deal with himearlier this year in March.

The streaming company has recently been cracking down on streamers that have been outed for sexual harassment/assault allegations, but nothing has come to light for Disrespect in that regard. Additionally, the platform was overwhelmed withDMCA takedown requestsearlier this month which have led to bans as well.
