Skull and Bonesis Ubisoft’s latest entry in gaming and after just a couple of weeks, fans are already complaining regarding the numerous shortcomings of the game. Fans have complained that the game is guilty of the same faults that previous titles of Ubisoft, likeWatch DogsandAssasins Creed: Valhalla.
Ubisoft has been under fire for quite some time now for failing to provide fans with a proper game. The number of games that have failed to satisfy fan expectations got higher with the addition ofSkull and Bonesto their ranks.
With the game failing to meet expectations on most counts, fans have already started questioning the $70 price tag that Ubisoft has slapped on the game.
Skulls and Bones Is the Same Old in a New Package
Back in 2014, when Ubisoft first releasedWatch Dogs, fan expectations were sky-high regarding the game. But, not only did the game fail to meet those expectations, it garnered a lot of flak because of the gameplay and storyline being generic. Moreover, fans were left questioning Ubisoft’s credibility after the game failed to deliver on a host of promises.

Fans have been quick to point out how the maritime experience feels significantly backdated, even when compared toAssassins Creed: Black Flag. Released 10 years ago,Black Flag‘s sea battle graphics and water mechanicsare far superior to the bug-infested experience thatSkull and Bonescurrently have on offer.

Apart from that,Skull and Boneshas been in the making for 11 years. Even after such a long time, developers were unable to deliver on all their initial promises. While the game does have its own TRPs, they are too few.
But on a side note, the developers have a year’s worth of content planned ahead. Plus the game offers a satisfactory co-op mode for playing with friends and strangers. Whether the developers can deliver on their lofty promises remains to be seen. But fans are expecting them to up the ante as a majority of them have been utterly disappointed by the gaming experience provided bySkull and Bones.
