WWE underwent a huge transformation with a new regime in place that officially took over at WrestleMania 40. The charge has been led by WWE President, CEO Nick Khan and Chief Content Officer Triple H, who completely changed the landscape of the global juggernaut.

Under the new management, WWE has experienced massive success and touched greater heights that the previous regime had not seen. This has been witnessed with sell-out shows, new business records, and the rise of multiple WWE superstars to the next level.

However, there has been one superstar who has not had the same impact that he had over the years in WWE. Under former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon’s rule, he thrived as one of the greatest in-ring competitors in the business. However, the same cannot be said about his tenure with Triple H at the helm, who has been booking him poorly. He is none other than The Viper, Randy Orton.

Randy Orton has had a lackluster booking under Triple H’s regime

Before the new regime took command, Randy Orton had been out of action for close to 18 months with a serious back injury. The Viper underwent surgery and underwent extensive rehabilitation to get back inside the squared circle again.

The moment finally came at the 2023 WWE Survivor Series event when Orton returned as part ofCody Rhodes‘ squad in the War Games. But what is worthwhile to notice is that things have not been right for Randy Orton at the very beginning of his return to WWE after a prolonged absence due to injury.

Randy Orton’s return coincided with the grand comeback of CM Punk to WWE after ten years. This overshadowed the excitement of The Viper’s resurgence after a long time in WWE, which he himself admitted was slightly disappointing, but he was happy to see Punk back in the company.

After that, Orton had not been involved in any meaningful or high-profile feud that a superstar of his caliber and accomplishments deserved. Many fans even wanted to see him feud with his former protege, Cody Rhodes, who has now become the face of the company and could very well turn intoWWE’s own Homelanderon the road to WrestleMania 41. But also did not happen.

A little rant…Randy Orton’s booking since his return at Survivor Series has been disappointing, to say the least.– Lost almost every PLE match.– Hasn’t been involved in a meaningful feud.It feels like they don’t have much for him, which is sad because Randy is one…pic.twitter.com/Rw23tjiyPB

Moreover, a shocking statistic that has also surfaced is that Randy Orton has lost almost every match at a WWE Premium Live Event. His tenure after coming back has been nothing short of disappointing, with many fans believing that he should have been booked as a top-tier star like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk.

Randy Orton should return to exact revenge on Kevin Owens by unleashing his vicious side

Randy Orton’s last televised feud was against Kevin Owens. The duo had been seen engaging in multiple brawls over the summer, including their scheduled match at WWE Crown Jewel 2024, ending in no contest at the sight of utter chaos.

Following that, The Prizefighter reignited his mean streak and took out WWE’s Apex Predator with a heinous beatdown on SmackDown.Randy Ortonhas not heard or seen since that night, with no word on his return.

He was also speculated to return as a surprise entrant in the 2025 Royal Rumble match, but that also did not happen. With the resume of a future Hall of Famer and still having a lot of gas in the tank,Triple Hshould bring him back if he is ready to go in the ring. But the dangerous and unpredictable Orton is the one who should come back.

Orton’s return on the road to WrestleMania 41 could be highly beneficial as he can engage in a better feud with Owens for The Show of Shows and unleash his venomous and villainous side that has been seen over the years and garnered major attention. This would not only help push Owens further but also establish Randy as a top attraction, which he has been doing for many years at WWE.
