Red One, the Christmas movie that would bring about a whole new collab of Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans sharing the screen, has been on fans’ bucket list for a long,longtime now. For one confirmed more than two years ago in 2021, the movie has been facing delays for quite some time now, considering how it was initially reported to film in 2022 and get a holiday release this year, i.e. in 2023.
However, fans are finally in for a confirmed release date for the Johnson-Evans collaboration movie through a recently announced major update, although it isa bit too faraway: inNovember 2024.

After the numerous delays that the movie had been facing,Red Onehas finally landed on a release date along with another major update: it will no longer be sent directly to streaming, as was previously decided, but instead, will have a theatrical release on the 15th of November, 2024.

Although the storyline of the much-anticipated movie has been kept strictly under wraps, Johnson reportedly described it via his Instagram handle@therockas:

Red Oneis produced by Seven Bucks Productions and Amazon MGM Studios, and its script has been co-written byChris Morgan(famous for his work onFast Five,Fast & Furious6, andFurious7) and directed byJake Kasdan(renowned for helming films like theJumanjireboot sequels).
Considering all these above-listed facts, it seems that fans can expect something of a comedic yet adventurous cultural clash between the real and the fantasy world in the upcoming film—exciting!
