Earlier this month,Fall Guysdeveloper Mediatonic launched the brand-new ‘Fall Forever’ update. Filled to the brim with new content, the update wasn’t the hit that the studio was hoping for. Instead, fans pleaded with the developersto “not take away the shows [they] love.”
Released on May 7th, the Fall Guys' Fall Forever update introduced a new mode known as ‘Explore’. This allowed players to “keep the party going” with a non-stop pool of creator-made levels. Mediatonic said that mode was “built with the feedback [it’s] seen from shows like Unexplored Adventures.”

Xbox Is Finally Getting A Feature PlayStation Has Had For Years
A handy PlayStation feature is finally coming to Xbox consoles.
The update also introduced new social features, such as the ability to piggyback on other players' backs, and a new social wheel that includes emoticons and quick phrases. Unfortunately, it also made some controversial changes to the existing map pool and “terrible” physic changes, according to players.
Mediatonic said it had made “significant” changes to gameplay to give players a better experience, with many of the changes supposedly guidelined by the Fall Guys community. Changes include adjustments to the way beans react to physics, with a reduction in the amount of times a bean will ragdoll unnecessarily.

“An example of this is when you’re going fast, land on your feet and then find yourself rolling on the floor. In addition to this, we’ve increased the speed of getting up and recovering from a knock, meaning you’re able to get back into the race faster,” Mediatonic said in theFall Forever patch notes. There are also changes to mid-air control, jump height, and acceleration.
Mediatonic Responds To Fan Feedback With New Changes
After fanstook serious issue with the changes, Mediatonic took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce some upcoming changes based on feedback. “We’ve been listening to a lot of your feedback and understand the recent ‘Fall Forever’ Update needs some changes to be a great experience,” the studio said.
The patch is yet to be released, but fans can expect the following changes to be made, according to Mediatonic:

Fans Want More To Be Done
While some users responded to the aforementioned changes by saying they were “glad” that Mediatonic is listening to the community, others believe more needs to be done.
“Looks more like a hotfix rather than a response to criticism,“Reddit user gamstatsaid. “medals, squad survivals, squad Tail Tag, hunts, Hoverboard Heroes, rounds descriptions and some finals were obviously broken. You don’t need a community backlash to fix it. So the only real ‘listening to community’ change is going from 3 to 4 rounds.”

Other users, such aszupatof, simply said that Mediatonic’s response “doesn’t really address the main problems.” WhileRagedSolid29 said, “I’m glad they actually listened rather doing nothing, but this is not enough. Not enough to make me return to the game, I hope they’ll continue do something.”
Plenty of users believe this is a step in the right direction, but it looks like Mediatonic is going to need to do much more if it wants to win back the community.
