A big selling point of any sci-fi thriller is its ability to maintain the mystery of its plot and characters right till the end. In that regard, a reporter tried to test Gosling’s resolve before the release of his movie by asking an unsettling question.

How Ryan Gosling Handled a Dark Question From a Reporter

InBlade Runner 2049,Ryan Gosling‘s K, an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, is on the hunt for a former Blade Runner after discovering a secret that could lead to chaos.

That former Blade Runner is Rick Deckard,Harrison Ford‘s iconic character, who first featured in the series nearly three decades ago as an ex-policeman-turned-special agent with a mission to exterminate a group of violent androids.

Needless to say, the fate of Ford’s character is a big deal for Gosling’s movie. During its promotion,The Notebookstar faced a reporter who tried to get a spoiler of Rick’s fate in the continuation of the original story.

The reporter remarked (viaOn Demand Entertainment):“In the last movie that Harrison Ford did, that was 30 years after his last movie, he died.”

Gosling handled the reporter’s comment well, replying:“Okay, this interview took a turn, real dark. What are you… You look guilty. Yeah, this is entering territory that I can’t go with you. I can’t go here with you.”

His publicist then stepped in and led him away from that uncomfortable interview.

Not only did Gosling do a pretty good job navigating the challenging question, but he also delivered a brilliant, somber performance. The film was a critical success, earning plenty of plaudits for its casting and cinematography. It also did reasonably well at the box office, grossing $267.7 million globally.

Ryan Gosling Had a Stellar Time in Barbie Land

Gosling returned to doing what he does best, leaving viewers smiling with his charming on-screen persona, this year withBarbie.

Portraying Ken in the fantasy comedy, he was absolutely perfect as a second fiddle to Margot Robbie’s titular character. Greta Gerwig’s plot revolved around Barbie but still, Gosling left a significant mark in the movie by challenging the status quo of Barbie Land by establishing his own Kendom.

Critics and fans alike absolutely adored his chemistry with Robbie, and the movie went on to enjoy a historic run at the box office, recording $1.442 billion at the box office globally.

For his performance inBarbie, the Canadian star has earned a Golden Globes nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
