For a person who has donned many faces over the years, having one thing that grounds you matters a lot. And it isn’t easy to bid adieu. Let alone saying goodbye to your house because of a fire. Sadly, many stars have been the victims of Los Angeles wildfires, which have ravaged the city of late.

As Los Angeles reels from the devastating effect of one of the worst wildfires to hit it in recent times, even celebrities haven’t been spared. Many of them had been forced to leave their homes because of nature’s wrath. One amongst them is Ricki Lake.

TheCry-Babystar was one of the many stars who lost her home to the wildfires. In apost on Instagram, she shared how the firefighters, in spite of their best efforts, couldn’t save her home.

We are safe. But this is what’s left of our beautiful home. Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday. Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.🙏🏼

It really is a shame that theA Christmas to Rememberstar will have to bid farewell to a home that marked the onset of such a beautiful chapter in his life.

This is the last pic I took of Leah’s rock from my beach house. I’ve had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last (night). There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. While the safety of his family was the silver lining, he couldn’t help but ignore how many families had been ravaged. And he isn’t alone.

While McElhenney and his family were safe, many others weren’t granted the same privilege. The number of dead continues to ratchet up as the ramifications of the wildfires become apparent. Our hearts go out to all the victims and their families.
