For a person who has donned many faces over the years, having one thing that grounds you matters a lot. And it isn’t easy to bid adieu. Let alone saying goodbye to your house because of a fire. Sadly, many stars have been the victims of Los Angeles wildfires, which have ravaged the city of late.

As Los Angeles reels from the devastating effect of one of the worst wildfires to hit it in recent times, even celebrities haven’t been spared. Many of them had been forced to leave their homes because of nature’s wrath. One amongst them is Ricki Lake.
TheCry-Babystar was one of the many stars who lost her home to the wildfires. In apost on Instagram, she shared how the firefighters, in spite of their best efforts, couldn’t save her home.
The caption read,
It’s all gone. I can’t believe I am typing these words. After a valiant and brave effort by our friend and hero @kirbykotler_ Ross and I lost our dream home. This description ‘dream home’ doesn’t suffice. It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together. We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved malibu for granted, not even for one second. I shared our sunset views almost daily with all of you.

The Canadian actor Cameron Mathison was also a celebrity victim of the Los Angeles wildfires.The Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swenson Mysterystar’s home was engulfed by the fires, leaving behind a mere shade of what existed. In hisInstagram post, he wrote,
We are safe. But this is what’s left of our beautiful home. Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday. Thanks to all who reached out and checked in. Can’t respond to all so wanted to give an update here. Sending so many prayers to everyone being affected by these fires.🙏🏼
It really is a shame that theA Christmas to Rememberstar will have to bid farewell to a home that marked the onset of such a beautiful chapter in his life.

For Diane Warren, the Los Angeles fires came at an extreme cost – a house she had inhabited for the past 30 years. She wrote,
This is the last pic I took of Leah’s rock from my beach house. I’ve had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last (night). There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing.(Instagram)

The burning down ofParis Hilton‘s home drew a lot of attention from news outlet ABC, which shared footage of her Malibu home going down in the fire. In anInstagram post, she wrote,
Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience. This home was where we built so many precious memories. … It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.
Hilton was observing the events unfold from a distance, far away from the grim specter with her family.

He broke the news via hisInstagram, revealing how even his house wasn’t spared from the horrors. While the safety of his family was the silver lining, he couldn’t help but ignore how many families had been ravaged. And he isn’t alone.
While McElhenney and his family were safe, many others weren’t granted the same privilege. The number of dead continues to ratchet up as the ramifications of the wildfires become apparent. Our hearts go out to all the victims and their families.
