Timings can be a funny thing. Sometimes, bad timing can ruin a good plan, and other times, make a good plan work great. Something similar happened to Robert De Niro and his upcoming limited series.

The first trailer for De Niro’sZero Dayhas been released, and fans are already going crazy for it. Although the series is full of politics, terrorist attacks, and a nationwide war, fans think that the timing couldn’t have been better (or worse) for the release of the trailer.

Robert De Niro’s upcoming series is about politics

Starring De Niro in the leading role,Zero Dayfollows the aftermath of a major terrorist attack across the entirety of America. With every phone hijacked and computers down, the country gets bombarded with bombs and attacks for a single day.

That’s where the trailer for this upcoming limited series starts. What follows is Robert De Niro (who is a former president in the show) meeting up with the current president to set up a task force to find out the perpetrators.

Things take a wild turn when everything backfires against De Niro’s character as the world questions his sanity. The politics in the show seem quite intriguing as De Niro cannot trust anybody other than himself (until the self-questioning starts).

Check out the trailer for the upcoming show below:

Mickey Rourke: Robert De Niro “Refused to work with me in a movie” After Making Me Not Talk To Him in a Previous $17M Bomb That Became a Cult-Hit

The trailer does look fascinating and thrilling but fans questioned the timing of this trailer. Since the news is quite fresh, fans are now relating this trailer to the present events in the USA and the timing is on point.

Fans questioned the trailer’s timing

Donald Trump’s name has been trending (alongside ElonMusk’s actions at the inauguration) as the 47th President of the United States inaugurated his position recently.

With the De Niro show following the storyline of a former president coming to save the United States while potentially taking the brunt of the entire world, fans are weirded out by the timing of the trailer launch.

Taking to the comment section on X, fans talked about how great (or weird) the timing of the show was while others tried to explain the alleged theory.

This is called predictive programming when they put concepts in movies they plan to have play out in reality so we can mentally adjust to them as they’re coming and start projecting that reality and aligning with it

Need his reaction on trump winning

So it’s a flick about stomping on civil liberties and then politicians worrying about the stomping of civil liberties?

Regardless of the timing of the launch of this trailer, millions of fans will certainly be watching this limited series since the trailer simply looks damn good.

With a cast of Robert De Niro, Angela Bassett, and several others,Zero Dayis slated for a release date of 11 June 2025 and will be available to stream on Netflix.
