Prime Video showInvinciblewas a huge hit following its season 1 release in 2021. With an extension of another season, the show reached a promising height until now. Recently, the fans declared one huge problem withInvincible,as per them, it needs to be rectified to retain the glory and fame of the show.

So, what really went wrong withInvincible?Prime Video has recently dropped the 5th episode ofInvincibleseason 2 and the buzz around the show has not been what one might expect given the popularity of the animated superhero show. The huge delay for the release of episode 5 of the second season killed the hyped and the show must bounce back to regain accolades from fans.
WhyInvincibleSeason 2 Episode 5 Was Delayed?
There was an unexpected production issue that prompted the showrunner to split the season of the show into two parts.“The decision was made afterwards,”the co-showrunner of the seriesSimon RacioppatoldThe Hollywood Handle.
“As we started producing the show, some issues came up, talked to Amazon, so we thought this was the best way to present the show, now, with these 4 episodes instead of making audience wait even longer. We will come back after a few months and give you the rest.”

Co-creator,Robert Kirkmanalso addressed the huge uproar as the the release of the episode got delayed.“I’ve seen people on the internet that are like,”Kirkman toldCollideradding,“‘Oh, why are you doing that? Why are you holding these four episodes back? I want the whole season.’”He explains that that’s the wrong way to look at it. “We’re giving you four episodes early,”Kirkman continued.
“I try to be a glass-half-full kind of guy. It was something that was somewhat of a practical thing because it was taking so long to get the show done. But I think that when we saw where the show was falling, schedule-wise, leading into that holiday, you can sometimes lose audiences when you get into the holiday season, and there’s New Year’s, and then there’s all kinds of stuff going on at the beginning of the year and everything.”

The delay was unfortunate but it was not intentional, still,no one can blame fans for wanting the entire showwithout any roadblocks or delays.InvincibleSeason 2 Episode 5 is out now and fans are gushing over the show for killing the hype.
Fans Are Upset With TheInvincibleMistake
Kirkman believes that season 2 of the show can be viewed as two separate seasons due to the gap, this is not a bad thing. The creator further assured that the minor gap would not hamperthe experience of watching the show.
“I think narratively, I can’t really talk about it without spoiling, but when you see how the fourth episode ends, it really does feel like a finale, and it really does set you up for a minor pause where you wanna process what happened,”he told Collider.

Still, fans are finding it hard to digest, the gap as Kirkman claims to be minor was huge for fans to deviate from the narrative.

They spilt the season and made us wait, killing the hype. Don’t drip feed episodes, don’t split the season. It’s not about Invincible it’s about streaming mismanagement
