In ablog postfrom Apple, they announced a slew of new games for theirApple Arcadesubscription service, including a new Space Invaders, an enhanced RollerCoaster Tycoon game combining elements from the first two games, andan all-new Katamari Damacy game, titled Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE.
Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE puts players at the mercy of the King of All Cosmos’s whims once more, this time to support his new career as a livestreamer.
Stuck In Apple Arcade Jail
Being as it is an Apple Arcade exclusive, Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE will only be available to owners of a relatively modern Apple device – either a Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV – who pay the $6.99 USD monthly subscription.
In return, like all games on Apple Arcade, it will be playable for no extra cost, with no ads or microtransactions.
According to itsApp Store page, in Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE, the prince will be tasked, as usual, with rolling objects in the world up into their Katamari to create stars.

If you don’t have a lot of time to play a game, just boot up something quick like Balatro or Pizza Tower.
The twist this time around is the streaming aspect, complete with an in-game livestream chat – which provides insights like, “Omgz I cant even this is so I cant,” “Can U eat the katamari,” or “Why was this in my recommendations?” – and, as they play, they’ll build the stream’s audience.
The last console entry in the series was a remaster of We Love Katamari in 2023, while the last all-new game was Amazing Katamari Damacy from 2017, also a mobile game. There have been no new Katamari games on consoles sinceTouch My Katamari on PS Vita back in 2011.
All that being said, while the game is exclusive to Apple Arcade for now, that doesn’t mean it won’t make its way to consoles at some point down the line; the excellent RPGFantasianeventually made it to consoles withFantasian Neo Dimension in late 2024, as didHello Kitty Island Adventure earlier this year.
