After many open betas and early access playtests, Nexon Games' The First Descendant is finally on its last destination towards launch. Before the looter-shooter arrives on consoles and PCs, a brand-newtrailerthat showcases new characters, Ajax, Valby, and Bunny, has already landed, giving players a look at what these Descendants have to offer.
LikeDestiny 2andWarframe, players will dominate the battlefield in a fantasy world that meets sci-fi experience, and, as any good shooter should know when it comes to maximizing online challenges, Nexon Games takes player feedback seriously to help allow its game to reach its fullest potential.

The First Descendant Is All About Gunplay And Grappling Hooks
Going hands-on with the beta of the F2P looter-shooter.
Speaking withGame Rant, The First Descendant’s director Minseok Joo emphasized how important player feedback is for the free-to-play, live-service game and to understand its community needs with “honest” feedback throughout its testing period. Of course, trying to keep up with the likes of Apex Legends, Final Fantasy 14, and Destiny 2, takes a lot of hard work and more importantly, for a studio, is consistently being in touch with its playerbase.
“We’ve run three public tests already, and we are having conversations with our players regarding feedback. Just honest feedback, back and forth.” expressed Joo. “We’ve been doing this in community spaces such as YouTube or our Discord server. On one hand, we make it a point to showcase our game at such a big event like [Summer Game Fest], but on the other hand, we also like to have a small AMA session with users online.”

Trying to constantly and consistently balance the looting experience while also giving players a challenge is something that The First Descendant keeps their eyes on. Players will obviously have some reservations upon jumping into yet another MMORPG with a battle pass and microtransactions, but Joo has said that they have adopted a more player-focused approach to these concerns.
“We’ve run technical tests, and in those tests, we’ve had discussions about microtransactions,” said Joo. “We’ve received a lot of feedback, especially regarding microtransactions, and we’ve decided to terminate the microtransactions that players are not satisfied with. We made sure to share that information within our community almost instantly.”

The First Descendant will be launching for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 2nd July.
