Ubisoft officially shared the first trailer for The Division Heartland, its free-to-play spin-off from The Division franchise that is supposed to bring a Dark Zone-style multiplayer mode with some improved core features from the mainline entries of the series.

While we got a brief look at the gameplay of Heartland, the developers didn’t reveal much about the activities or the core game mode.

You will still play as a Division agent, but you will have new characters to choose from in this free-to-play spin-off. As a survival adventure, you will be given various missions, and you are expected to finish either solely or with your friends.

Previously, a leak from the Ubisoft Store page revealed that The Division Heartland will have a core game mode, where players can take part in both PvE and PvEvP activities in the game, tasked to complete a number of objectives.

The Division Heartland still doesn’t have official target platforms, but from the look of the new gameplay footage, it seems like it would be a cross-gen title.

Aside from The Division Heartland, Ubisoft also shared the first footage from The Division Resurgence, which is the mobile branch of the series that will bring the Dark Zone to mobile for the first time.

Last but not least, Ubisoft also revealed new plans for upcoming new content to The Division 2, which further explore the story-driven campaign of the game by delivering some new stories about already known characters. We will see hear more about the next year of content for The Division in the future.
