Ubisoft’s latest free updateforThe Crew 2is now available. Season 7 Episode 2 brings the Blizzard Rush update with five new hypercar events. Originally launched in 2018, the open-world racing of The Crew 2 has seen consistent support fromUbisoft, as the publisher is wont to do with its titles. The Season 7 updatesinitially kicked off in November of last year with a focus on adding new weather effects into the game.

Season 7 Episode 2 will continue with that trend. The appropriately-named Blizzard Rush update brings new snowy effects to the game’s world, with the new trailer specifically showing off an iced-up version of a race through the Golden Gate Bridge. Other winter-themed areas are teased for the update throughout the trailer, with five new hypercar events confirmed to be added into the game.

Completing the full series of those events will allow players to unlock the BMW M8 Coupé. More vehicles were also added via the game’s new Motorpass, including the Bugatti EB110 Super Sport Anodized Edition (hypercar), the Dodge SRT Charger Lab Edition (Street Race), and the Saleen S1 Icebreaker Edition (Street Race). Other new cars will be added later in the event, like the McLaren 765LT (hypercar) coming on January 25. New customization options are also confirmed to be available.

The shop will also be adding back in cars that the game had previously retired. The BMW M8 Competition Coupe Interception Unit (Street race) will be available on February 8, the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS Enforcer Unit (hypercar) and the RAM 1500 Rebel TRX Concept Enforcer Unit (Rally Raid) will return on February 15, with the Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4 Interception Unit (Street race) coming on March 1.

The Blizzard Rush update is free to The Crew 2 players, though premium currency packs and the aforementioned Motorpass represent paid additional content. It’s the standard model for ongoing services on titles like this one, a caveat to seeing Ubisoft still supporting the game some five years later.
