After the lover duo met inThe First Avenger,Captain America, and Peggy Carter’s story became a fan-favorite affair. Peggy was portrayed as a British agent and member of the Strategic Scientific Reserve. She was working on the Project Rebirth, aiming to create a Super Soldier by injecting the serum into Steve Rogers.
Peggy and Rogers were aware that their love story was to take a fateful turn, given Rogers’ expected death. InEndgame,afterChris Evans‘ Captain America replaces the infinity stones, he utilizes time travel to go back 40 years in the past and reunite with Peggy, the life he wanted to live. Hence, theories suggest that Rogers is the father of Peggy’s kids. In a recent interview,Hayley Atwellattempted to clarify with a thoughtful answer.
The British-American actress appeared on thePhase Zeropodcast and said,
“I feel like it’s sort of, I know my cop-out answer is, ‘It’s whatever you want it to be.’ I think hopefully it’s… Well, here’s my answer; I hope one day we actually find out. I would love for the audiences to not be left guessing or hanging in suspense, but actually, all those questions to be resolved in a really satisfying way because that, I think the audiences deserve it.”
Without hinting at any official plans of the MCU, on how they might proceed with the story, Atwell claimed that the fans had the right to know what happened to the beautiful love affair. Furthermore, their affair was also chipped in Season 2 ofWhat If…?Resulting in fresh insights into the couple’s children. While a definite answer remains, the 41-year-old actress even had ideas for Peggy’s kids.

Taking the theory a notch up, Atwell suggested how Carter’s Super Soldier kids would turn out to be. She said,
“They’re like venture capitalists or total techie nerds that are like, ‘You guys are annoying. I’m going to rebel and do something completely different.'”
