Bandai Namco dropped anotherTekken 7trailer today, this time featuring a previously announced new fighter, Leroy Smith. And this trailer is one part gameplay and one part music video. According to the official video: “Leroy Smith has returned to New York City as a Wing Chun master and he’s ready for revenge”:

Earlier todaytwo other challengerswere revealed in two new trailers: veteran Ganryu and new fighter Fahkumram.

The last time we saw Leroy was during EVO 2019 whenTekkenveteran Zafinawas revealed for the title. The character first debuted inTekken 6and returned as a playable character inTekken Tag Tournament 2. Following her montage, the trailer showed off a teaser for Leroy Smith, which since garnered plenty of popularity. This was also the same EVO that we saw the fakeSolid Snake fighter reveal,which garnered irefrom longtime Solid Snake VA David Hayter on Twitter.

Two years ago, the developerunexpectedly announced NoctisfromFinal Fantasy XVas a character. The next year they showed fans a video announcing thatNegan fromThe Walking Deadwould be a playable fighter. You can check out more screenshots of both Neegan and returning fighter Julia Changhere.

Back in July, Bandai Namco revealed thatthe game had passed four million copies sold worldwide. We foundTekken 7to be a great fighting game that won us over with its “rock-solid fighting mechanics.”

Tekken 7launched in Japanese arcades back in 2015 and on consoles worldwide in 2017. It has since remained one of the most widely played titles in the fighting game community. The game made its return atEVO 2019in early August with thethird-highest entry numbers. Just under 2,000 players competed inTekken 7this year and just as we expected we ended up with a really entertaining tournament.
