New comments on Chainsaw Man sequel by Tatsuki Fujimoto
Tatsuki Fujimoto was asked for a status update onChainsaw Man 2byFrench media BFM TV. He mentioned in the interview that he is still working on the sequel. And specifically answered this question by pointing out he has everything planned, but doesn’t want fans to get anything spoiled before Part 2 begins. Fujimoto wants to surprise us.
Tatsuki Fujimoto:“I know exactly what I want to do in theChainsaw Mansequel, but I can’t reveal anything yet. I want my readers to discover Part 2 without any prior information.”
Tatsuki Fujimoto also mentioned he focuses on making short series and one-shots to preserve his health. This is only speculation on my part, but this could meanChainsaw Man Part 2will be shorter than Part 1. But maybe even a Part 3 will happen later on. Only Fujimoto knows.
Chainsaw Manhas an anime in the works and got its first trailer revealed by Mappa at the studio’s10th-anniversary eventon August 06, 2025.Chainsaw Man, the originalmanga, debuted in December 2018 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The series’ first part ended with 11 volumes, in December 2020.You can read it all officially on Manga Plus. As for the anime, it’s scheduled to air later in 2022. Mappa is definitely redirecting all of its talents there, and I believe any long-time anime fan is worried the studio’s other projects will melt under the usual overwork, low wages, and short deadlines issues.
