With the integration ofBlack Ops 6withWarzone, the battle royale will also see a lot of changes. However, not every information about the game has made players happy. Recently, one piece of information has made players question whether the developers want them to have fun.

Players Not Happy About Changes Coming With Black Ops 6

Treyarch is trying to makeBlack Ops 6more competitive and realistic by drawing more inspiration from the originalCall of Duty Black Opstitles. This decision is like a double-edged swordas it not only brings old yet innovative features into the game but also removes some of the features players came to love in the recent titles.

This double nature was shown in the recent release of the information about the newWarzonefeatures. The news explained that the Unlimited Tac Sprint is going to become a perk and players need to put in their loadout to use it. After hearing this, players are not happy about this decision as it not only hinders their gameplay but also makes them waste 1 perk slot for basic mechanics.

Some players are saying this is one way of gatekeeping basic mechanics.

This needs to be a default perk for Warzone (like climbing boots, tac pads, overkill, etc.) not something we have to get from a loadout.

Stop gatekeeping fluid gameplay behind perks and loot. Stop prioritizing realism (gun sway, jump penalties, visual recoil, etc.) over fun 🤦🏼‍♂️https://t.co/9w9wt25Au1

While some are confused as to why this is not a default perk, to begin with.

The community is angry and asking developers various questions. For many, this feels like Treyarch is trying to gatekeep mechanics to make the game feel more realistic. But that’s where it is losing the players as most of them are here to enjoy the fluid gameplay.

Treyarch Needs to Balance Realism and Gameplay Fluidity

The developers need to start listening to player feedback and implement changes accordingly. The pressure onBlack Ops 6is already high as previous titles have not delivered on its promises.

For most players, the essence of gaming is all about its ability to make them experience thrills and challenges not possible in the real world. By forcing players to sacrifice a perk slot for a simple ability like Tac Sprint, Treyarch is potentiallycompromising the main essence of playing the game.

This can alienate the players who like fluid gameplay and mechanics over realism. As Treyarch is trying to navigate through this player feedback, it needs to realize that realism is great in camping mode as players are placed in someone else’s shoes.

But in a fast-paced and chaotic battle royale, limiting basic mechanics is going to hurt them in the long run. In the end, developers need to learn that innovation is crucial but it should never come at the cost of the player experience.
