17Introvert
The Introvert Trait is exactly what it sounds like. You will experience a debuff if you explore with another person. However, if you travel alone, you will obtain a buff that will be extremely helpful.
This is a Trait that depends on your play style. If you’d rather not have a companion, you may find this helpful. However, it is important to note that you will sometimes be forced to have a companion following you.

Is The Introvert Trait Worth It?
This Trait can certainly be worth obtaining if you plan on playing the game by yourself. However, if you plan on having companions with you, you don’t want this Trait. Interestingly, it seems that VASCO does not count as a companion since he is a robot. This means you’re able to use him without being affected.
The Spaced Trait is where your body has gotten used to space. This means that you will have an increase in health and oxygen while in space, but you will have this decreased when you are on planet surfaces.

This Trait certainly has its purposes, but they are based solely on your play style. More likely than not, players will spend time on planets rather than exploring space. This means that this Trait won’t be as useful as another one.
Is The Spaced Trait Worth It?
Honestly, this Trait probably isn’t worth it in the long run. While you will spend a good amount of time in space, you will spend more time on planets.
15Raised Enlightened
The Raised Enlightened Trait is one that isn’t too bad for players to pick. With this Trait, you were raised in the Enlightened religion. This means that you will automatically be part of their group and will have to leave if you want out.
For this Trait, you can obtain a chest that is located in their headquarters on New Atlantis. Since this is one of the first areas you will go to, this can be extremely helpful for you starting out. However, if you get it late game, it won’t be much help. (You are also locked out of other religions.)

Is The Raised Enlightened Trait Worth It?
This Trait isn’t actually as good as it sounds. Unfortunately, most of the stuff in the chest isn’t of much use to the player after reaching higher levels in the game.
14Raised Universal
The Raised Universal Trait is one that isn’t too bad for players to pick. With this Trait, you were raised in the Universal religion. This means that you will automatically be part of their group and will have to leave if you want out.
For this Trait, you can obtain a chest that is located in their headquarters on Mars. Just like with the Raised Enlightened Trait, this area is one of the first you will go to. However, if you get it late game, it won’t be much help. (You are also locked out of other religions.)

Is The Raised Universal Trait Worth It?
This Trait may be one of them that you aren’t sure about. After all, who wants to be hunted by a Bounty Hunter? However, while it can be annoying, if you play your cards right, it can also be extremely helpful to you.
Even though someone is hunting you, you will get a buff from this Trait. When you are backed into a corner, you will gain extra damage. So, even if your health is low, you still have a fighting chance of winning a battle.
Is The Wanted Trait Worth It?
This Trait can be beneficial to players. However, to obtain those benefits, you will need low health. Most of the time, you will be able to heal yourself before losing too much health. Therefore, this isn’t as helpful as it may seem.
12Dream Home
The Dream HomeTrait is a blessing and a curse. In this Trait, you will have the home of your dreams, but it comes with a 125,000 Credit mortgage that you will have to pay. However, you may obtain Credits pretty quickly.
The Dream Home is, by far, the best home that players can obtain in the game. Truthfully, while some of the homes aren’t super expensive, many of them will be in this price range anyway. While it may be difficult starting out, it is worth it in the long run.
Is The Dream Home Trait Worth It?
This is a great Trait if you want to have a home in the game. This house is, by far, the best one you’re able to get in the game. While 125,000 Credits seems like a lot, it isn’t even the most expensive home in the game.
11Serpent’s Embrace
The Serpent’s Embrace is an extremely useful Trait, if you know how to negate the negative effects of it. This Trait is where you grew up worshiping the Great Serpent. This is the God that the House Va’ruun follows.
This Trait will give you +25 to your Health and Oxygen if you Grav Jump every four hours. Unfortunately, it will take 25 away from your Health and Oxygen if you don’t, so you want to make sure you’re doing this. It also allows you to speak to the House Va’ruun.
Is The Serpent’s Embrace Trait Worth It?
Yes, this Trait is worth it. While you may be wondering what it means by you have to jump, you don’t have to worry. It means you will need to Grav Jump, which you will do often. This means you will always have this boost.
10Hero Worshipped Trait
This Trait may be one of the most despised Traits, but it can become pretty helpful. You will obtain a huge fan who will approach you while you’re in New Atlantis. They’ll want to join your ship and sprinkle you with gifts.
The good thing about this Trait is that you will be able to remove them from your ship. This means you won’t actually have to deal with them 24/7. So, this can be a great way to obtain free items without the hassle of dealing with the fan too often.
Is The Hero Worshipped Trait Worth It?
This Trait is a little bit of both. It can be worth it since you have another companion you can assign anywhere, however, the Adoring Fan can be annoying.
9Terra Firma Trait
This option is another pretty good option; however, it depends on your play style. This Trait will give you more Health and Oxygen while on the surface, but this will decrease while you are in space, so you will want to stay on planets.
One reason this is great is because, chances are, you will be spending more time on the surface of planets as opposed to in space. Even if you want to spend more time in space, you probably won’t be able to spend more time in space than on the surface.
Is The Terra Firma Trait Worth It?
This Trait is certainly one of the better ones. Since you will spend more time on planets than in space, this can be worth it in the long run. Just be careful of the debuff in space.
8Kid Stuff Trait
This is one of the most interesting Traits that are available to you in the game. For this Trait, you will have your parents alive and well. You can visit them whenever you want, however, 2% of your Credits will go to them.

This is a great Trait because you do get to have your parents alive. This will add another layer of interest to your play-through. At the end of the day, the 2% to them isn’t too much, and it’s a great price to pay for getting to visit them.
Is The Kid Stuff Trait Worth It?
Yes, this Trait is worth it. While you will send 2% of your Credits, you will automatically be able to visit your parents and live with them. They will also give you gifts.
