Publisher Electronic Arts released its financial results for the fourth quarter of the 2020 fiscal year this afternoon and it showed that Respawn Entertainment’sStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderhas continued to be a major success.

Stated inEA’s earnings release, it was said thatFallen Orderhas achieved more than 10 million unique players to date across all of the game’s platforms on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s not clear if this number means that 10 million copies of the game have been sold directly to consumers, but it seems pretty close. Player numbers are likely higher than direct sales given the nature of the re-sale market at businesses like GameStop.

Still, this goes to show thatStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderhas all-around been a rousing achievement for EA and Respawn. Before the publisher’s fiscal year even wrapped up at the end of March 2020, sales projections were increased from their original estimates of6-8 million copies shippedto10 million. Judging by these player totals, it definitely seems like EA was able to reach that benchmark.

“We’re humbled to see people around the world connecting through our games during this unprecedented period,” said EA CEO Andrew Wilson in an accompanying statement with the financial release. “Our focus continues to be on everything we can do for our people, our players, and our communities. Thanks to the amazing dedication and determination of our teams at Electronic Arts, we’re able to deliver the games, experiences and content choices that our players are looking for during this challenging time.”

The latest player totals forStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderalso comes about only a day afterthe game received a new, free update. This new content package adds a variety of new features such as New Journey+, additional cosmetics, and even new combat environments to do battle within. Oh, and you’re able to finally use a red lightsaber now, too.
