Starfieldhas only been out for a few days (or a little bit over a week, if you paid extra for early access), but already, the modding community has takenBethesda’s new, original sci-fi story and incorporated a key visual element from one of the most well-recognized sci-fi franchises of all time,Star Wars.
Uploaded Sunday to NexusMods by user kboykboy, the mod, titled GALACTIC CIVIL WAR CONVERSION jumps out right away as Star Wars-related content, with several images of white-armored stormtroopers from the original film trilogy from the ’70s and ’80s dominating the screen. Only about eight hours after being uploaded, the mod has already seen just shy of 1,000 unique downloads (with close to 1,200 total downloads showing on its NexusMods page).

Admittedly, the mod doesn’t do much at the moment. Per the creator’s posted description, it simply replaces the United Colonies' police force with stormtroopers from the Star Wars universe, but as one image shows, that stormtrooper armor (and presumaly helmets) can be acquired and added to your Starfield character, so it could provide a unique aesthetic as you’re grav jumping your ships across the galaxy. Also, remember that the game has only recently become available, and the creator has committed to “do more eventually.”
And it seems that players who have installed the mod are hungry for more Star Wars content in Starfield. “It would be nice if there was a version not doing the replace but just adding the content armor/weapons and such,” commented NexusMods user HaradaTaro. Others have alrteady put in requests for several other Galactic Empire-themed armor skins, including clone troopers, deathtroopers, snowtroopers, sandtroopers, imperial officers, and of course, the iconic Darth Vader.
As with all mods, especially new ones, we urge you to exercise caution in downloading and installing GALACTIC CIVIL WAR CONVERSION, although thus far, only one issue has been reported, and it seems to be related to the color of the stormtrooper armor not appearing correctly. If you’re interested in taking your Starfield campaign to a galaxy far away (theoretically, at least), you candownload the mod here.
