The fighting inSpider-Man: Miles Moralesis another aspect of the game that is smooth, rewarding, and extremely well done and introduces Miles' new Venom power. The fighting system is a complex management system of building up energy, dodging attacks, and unleashing your ultimate Venom bio-electric pain on every villain in sight.

The game’s fighting intensity is entirely up to you. Depending on the difficulty setting, Spider-Man: Miles Morales can also be a button-mashing delight. Whether you play for mastery or for fun, a few tips and tricks should be followed to get the most out of Spider-Man’s fluid combat.
10Basic attacks
Dealing the leastamount of damage, basic attacks are the most important part of fighting in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Basic attacks allow you to build up both Venom and healing energy. As a result, the game’s system of fighting becomes a balance between doing damage and staying alive. In most fights, you’re either saving up for damage or for healing. This is done through normal punches and kicks.
This is especially true for bosses, where you’ll want to use as many basic attacks as possible. Try to target weaker enemies like melee-fighters that don’t have defenses. Basic attacks also grant Spider-Man Finishers after the first 15 hits without taking damage. Finishers let you one-shot an enemy and should be used on difficult enemies whenever possible.

9Venom Attacks
Each basic attack will store energy in the bar in the top right of the in-game screen. Once the bar is glowing yellow, a Venom attack is possible. If you heal though, your energy will be drained, and you’ll have to get more by using basic attacks. Venom attacks are Miles’ strongest abilities and most combat should be centered around storing up Venom energy and releasing it at opportune times.
Venom attacks come in six options that unlock through leveling up Spider-Man in the game. Also, Venom should be saved for more difficult enemies, like Roxxon shield-enemies or bosses, as it can’t be dodged and can forego defenses.

8Don’t Stay Still
Movement is critical to fighting as Spider-Man isn’t meant to sit in place and fight a group of enemies. He’s not known for it, but Spider-Man is at his best fightingin the air. Standing on the ground makes Spidey vulnerable to melee attacks and allows enemies to surround him.
If you focus on Air Launchers, Swing Kicks, and general movement off the ground, enemies will have to shift around to get to you. In the meantime, manhole covers, hard-light drones, and a huge amount of webs should be thrown their way.

Spider-Man’s web shooters are some of the best fighting tools in the game. It may be easy to forget them between all the punching and kicking, but webs are great not only for webbing people and weapons but for moving around the area as well. Most fights take place either in urban warehouses or in an urban city.

So using the surroundings for cover is ideal and don’t be afraid to web swing during fights. Also, Web Strike should be used constantly as it closes the distance and leaves Spider-Man less likely to be hit while moving around.
Your non-web shooter gadgets are a key fighting element and can sometimes be the difference between winning and losing. An easy way to turn around a losing fight can be to unload all your gadgets indiscriminately, which can work but unless it ends the fight, it’s only a temporary solution. Especially because of their reload time, you should use your gadgets sparingly. Miles has three bonus gadgets, so you’ll have to focus your play style around these options:

5Camouflage
Normally used in Stealth Mode, Spider-Man’s Camouflage ability can be used for offense as well. First off, it’s the best escape tool for anytime a fight gets too hectic. If your life gets too low or you want to switch into Stealth Mode, Camouflage gives you the power to control the pacing of any fight. Being invisible is a great opportunity to pick-off key targets.
Flip on Camo and swing across the room to take out those annoying rocket launchers and snipers without being spotted. This is also a great tactic for advanced enemies like Underground brutes and sword-holders. Instead of trying to fight them in a crowd, make it easy for yourself and use Camo for a Web Strike Takedown.

Sometimes, you have to escape a fight to win it. Escaping is a good skill to have and thankfully, Camouflage makes it a quick button tap away. Get moving while invisible. Jump off a building or onto the ceiling before safely reappearing. Keep in mind that escaping alone won’t heal Spider-Man.
It will, however, give you a chance to reset, regroup, and find a lone enemy that you can get some free hits on. Again, those basic attacks are the only way to repair your health-bar. As long as you’re patient, you can re-Camouflage, get a few hits in for heals, and repeat. Do this while hiding and Spider-Man will be back to fighting shape in no time.
3Priority Targets
Pay attention to the type of enemies in a fight. The early parts of the game have low-level enemies but as the game progresses, Miles will start toface tougher foes. The obnoxious shielded brutes, programmable-matter sword ones, and Roxxon invisible spider hunters will all show up and start making fights increasingly difficult.
The remedy is to choose when to focus and when to ignore more difficult types of enemies. Saving up a Venom attack is a good approach. So is using Camouflage to Web Strike Takedown an advanced enemy. Either way, it’s smart to focus first on the weaker ones. Punching a defenseless sniper is a great way to store energy.
Only two mods of each type can be used at a time and choosing is a matter of preference. While some fighting mods are focused on Venom powers and healing, others are focused on increasing damage output. Try out different mods that fit with your play style or experiment with all of them.

1Overall Fighting Strategy
In general, the best approach to fighting to mix it up. Spider-Man: Miles Morales allows players to develop unique play styles, preferences, and methods for fighting. However, there’s a fighting loop that you may use as a foundation. While keeping an eye on your health bar, use your basic attacks to build Venom energy. Do your best to take fighting into the air to avoid melee attacks with things like Air Launcher.
Swing Kick and use Web-Strike to target enemies on the outskirts of the area. Ignore higher-defense enemies with movement, gadgets, and Camouflage. When your Venom energy bar is filled, target bosses and larger groups of enemies. If your health is low, Camouflage and get to safety. Rinse and repeat.
