The Hollywood Reporterreported that the actors themselves wanted the decision to be changed and rallied for a longer theatrical release. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out and the movie was released on Apple TV+ on 08 August 2025 just a week after its theatrical release.

Similarly, another popular film seems to be following in the footsteps of John Watt’s directorial. DreamWorks Animations’ most awaited film,The Wild Robotreleased theatrically on 10 July 2025 and garnered a positive response.

Shockingly, The Hollywood Handle posted news of the film getting its digital release only 18 days after it graced the big screens. This film adapted from Peter Brown’s novel of the same name, starredLupita Nyong’o,Pedro Pascal,andMark Hamill.

Others like Bill Nighy, Ving Rhames,Stephanie Hsu, and Kit Connor were also seen in theChris Sanders‘ directorial. The film expertly explores the theme of found family, relationships, and emotional bonds as it navigates a shipwrecked robot’s journey.
