The treacherous and cannibal-infested forest is full of hidden caves, waterfalls, and lagoons, so there is never a shortage of frightening experiences or beautiful sights when exploring.

It should come as no surprise that having areliable weapon for both self-defense and offense is essentialin an environment where you are constantly being hunted by a variety of mutant and deformed enemies. And what other tool is more appropriate for the task than a chainsaw? Even though this isn’t available from the start of the game, it’s highly recommended that you get it as soon as you possibly can due to its soul-destroying damage.
Required & Suggested Items
The player can only retrieve the chainsaw if they have specific required items and tools to gain access to the location where the chainsaw is located. Without these items and tools, the player will not be able to retrieve the chainsaw.We strongly recommend that every player saves their game before making any attempt at obtaining the chainsaw. This will ensure that the player’s progress is saved and that they will not have to restart the game after the helicopter crash at the top of the mountain.
To be able to gain access to the room in which the chainsaw is found,you will need the maintenance keycard. To be able to get the maintenance keycard,you will also need to have collected the shovel. Once you have completed these two steps, you’re able to seek to find the chainsaw whenever you see fit. Here are several of therequired and suggested itemsthat we think all players should consider before attempting to enter the cave.
It is a good idea tostock up on food, drink, and other necessitiesbefore beginning your journey because the distance may be longer than you anticipated; however, this will vary depending on where you begin your journey.

Finding The Chainsaw
The location of the chainsaw, as well as the means to acquire it, can be discovered in one of the many obscured caves that are scattered across the map. You may have previously visited this cave, as itcontains the game’s most easily accessed 3D printer.
Although the first section in which the 3D printer is kept safe and mutant-free, the other side of the locked door that requires the maintenance keycard isfull of enemiesthat are sure to attack anyone or anything that attempts to make their way through.
Avoiding enemies is a possibility, but wehighly recommend that all players are prepared and equipped with some form of heavy weaponry, no matter if it’s firearms or melee.
If you don’t have any firearms, Consider molotovs, The modern axe, or the stun gun to get to the chainsaw in one piece.
Once you have reached the designated location of the cave, which holds both the 3D printer and chainsaw, proceed to enter the cave.
Once you have entered the cave, proceed to navigate to the end of the corridor. It’s important to note that youmust pass the 3D printer room.
Once you have passed the 3D printing room, you will find yourself in thebrightly illuminated corridor. Proceed to navigate to the locked security door at the end of the corridor. This is the door that you must use the maintenance keycard to unlock. Proceed ahead once you have unlocked the door.
Once you have unlocked the security door,equip a flashlight or lighterto see easier when navigating through the rooms ahead. The first area you will walk through is what appears to be a gym or fitness room.
Stick to the right when the room splits two ways, as highlighted in the image above. Once you reach the other side, you will find yourself at thebottom of a split staircase.
Proceed to make your way to the first floor up either of these staircases. Navigate through the room, sticking to your right and eliminating any enemies if necessary. The second security door is on the right at the very end of the room.Use the maintenance keycard to unlock it.
Prepare to defend yourself, as there are multiple enemies behind the locked security door.
Once you have cleared or fled the corridor, you will find yourself in a dark room with very few options regarding which way to go. Take the room that’s on the right; this is where you will find the chainsaw. Be warned, as it’s usuallyguarded by a mutant.
