From an online Korean novel to a webtoon to an anime, theSolo Levelingsaga is gradually gaining an edge in every industry it debuts in. That being said, the immense success of the first season of the superhit anime has allowed it to open to further plans. And by further plans, we mean extending to a course of six whole seasons.

According to recent reports, the initial plan for the anime from the Korean side is for the saga to tell its story through six whopping seasons. And if these plans areindeed true, then this just might inevitably result in the Korean phenomenon further adapting its spin-offRagnarokstoryline within its future seasons.
Solo LevelingReportedly Planning to Spawn Over 6 Seasons
Considering how the first season of the saga has managed to garnerincredible reviews from audiences worldwidealong with a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it seems only fair thatSolo Levelinggets a second — and maybe even a third — season greenlit. But what’s surprising is that the franchise intends to expand further than that.
One Trait of Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling Makes Him a Better Protagonist than Dragon Ball’s Goku
According to recent reports from@xDonutW on X, while the second season of the blockbuster anime is reportedly all set to debut later this year, it won’t conclude its entire story. Instead, this upcoming season would be followed by four more seasons to result in six seasons total, which would likely help the sales of webtoon production companies to expand.

But what’s worth noting here is that if the seriesindeedintends to expandthatfar, then it would unquestionably need a lot more content. This they could do by either stretching out the storyline by adding fillers, or they could simply end up adapting its spin-off’s storyline in its future seasons, i.e.Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.
Solo Leveling Went Out of its Way to Give the Most Epic Tribute to Akira Toriyama That Will Give You Goosebumps
For those who may not know,Ragnarokis actually the sequel to the original story and continues the events that happened after the original storyline concludes. The web novel of the same was announced back in April 2023, and it was reported byPeak Fictionthat it would soon get adapted into a webtoon by 2024 as well.
Thus, if everything goes according to plan, theRagnarokstorycould soon be adapted into the anime as well. However, these reported plans are only from the Korean side, andmay notbe the final approved decision for the Japanese side, as @xDonutW mentioned. Thus, it would only be wise to take these reports with a pinch of salt.

If we count the side stories adaptation, it should be 5 cours at most with the current pacing unless ofc they’re adding entirely anime original arcs to flesh things out.

“There’s no writing”: Fans Beg Solo Leveling to Change One Aspect that Might Already be its Biggest Downfall
Considering just how exhilarated fans are about this report, it seems only fair that the Japanese side agrees on this too, and ends up fulfilling fans’ wishes with a completeanime adaptation of the source material.
And assuming all of these initial plans for Sung Jinwoo’s story eventually end up getting executed, fans most certainly have some peak action incoming within the next few years!
