According to recent reports, it has been found out that Pitt supposedly had something to do with Stone and Baldwin’s rivalry.

“He called me to his office. He had these very low ’70s, ’80s couches, so I’m essentially sitting on the floor when I should have been on set… he’s running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better, and we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem.”

Noyce then revealed how the actress specifically wanted Brad Pitt to star inSliver, but as he turned down the movie, Stone caused even more tension.
“The two were not at all happy opposite each other. Sharon had always wanted Brad Pitt to play opposite her, so she was disappointed. I think she was genuinely regretful even that she’d taken the role. She was not at all happy on the movie.”
