However, Freedman has refrained from revealing what a countersuit will exactly allege against Lively. Her lawyers have responded to Freedman’s claims and shared that it was retaliation against her after she opened up about Baldoni’s misconduct.

They accused Baldoni of trying to trivialize the allegations by blaming the victim. A statement from her lawyers read (via Forbes):

A classic tactic to distract from allegations of this type of misconduct is to ‘blame the victim’ by suggesting that they invited the conduct, brought it on themselves, misunderstood the intentions, or even lied. Another classic tactic is to reverse the victim and offender, and suggest that the offender is actually the victim.

According to Forbes, Baldoni will be countering each of the allegations made against him in the civil rights complaint. It was also alleged that Lively and Reynolds forced WME to drop Baldoni. However, the talent agency has since refuted the claim.
