Season 3 ofSea of Thievesis shaping up to be the biggest free content update the game has ever seen. TheSea of Thievesservers will be taken offline today (June 22) and a new update will be deployed in order to launch Season 3: A Pirate’s Life.
The upcoming Season is set to bring a huge crossover to the game, Disney’s very ownPirate’s of The Caribbeanfranchise will arrive inSea of Thieveswith Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones also featuring.
Sea of ThievesSeason 3 - A Pirate’s Life
A Pirate’s Life will feature a brand new originalPirate’s of The Caribbeanstory told through the world ofSea of Thieves. Players will be able to team up with the legendary pirate himself, Captain Jack Sparrow.
The season will feature five new Tall Tales as well as brand new locations inspired by the famous franchise. Rare has even gone on record to state that this will be the biggest update toSea of Thievessince 2019’s Anniversary Update.
Not only will the update feature new locations and new Tall Tales, there will be new creatures to battle, and new gameplay mechanics to learn.
TheSea of ThievesSeason 3 update is free to all and will arrive on Xbox consoles and Microsoft Windows on June 22.
Server Downtime
TheSea of Thievesdevelopers have announcedthat the games' servers will be taken offline in order to perform maintenance and launch Season 3. The servers will be taken offline at the following times:
Although the duration of the server downtime was not detailed by the developers, we anticipate it to last for approximately 1 hour. This is based on previous server downtime length, but may last longer should any issues arise.
