One of the biggest surprises last year was Microsoft’s announcement that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle—once touted as an Xbox-exclusive game—is headed to the PS5 in “Spring 2025.”
While there’s no update on the game’s release date, a new report from the reliable Tom Warren pegs the game’s release to be in April.

Indiana Jones And The Great CiRcle Will Be Available On PS5 Sooner Than Expected
In a new report onThe Verge(paywalled) Tom Warren said (viaResetEera), “Indiana Jones now has DLSS 4 support. Bethesda updated Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with DLSS 4, Multi Frame Generation, and even FSR 3.1 Frame Gen support last week. That’s great news for PC players, and we’re now waiting to hearif Indiana Jones is going to make Microsoft’s target of an April release on PS5.”
As far as I’m aware, Microsoft has only said Spring 2025, and has never said which month it’s scheduled for release. Spring starts in the latter part of March and usually lasts until mid-June. If Warren’s report rings true, that means PS5 players will be able to play MachineGames' latest AAA action game much sooner than anticipated.
Bear in mind: this is not official in any way, and while Tom Warren is as reliable as you can get, this is still a rumor until confirmed by Microsoft.
Indiana Jones Fans Are Debating Whether Or Not The Great Circle Should Be Fully Third-Person
The Great Circle will be predominantly first-person, with third-person cutscenes and traversal.
Indiana Jones and the Great Cricle was released on July 22, 2025, on Xbox and PC. Developed by MachineGames, a Bethesda first-party studio that Microsoft wholly owns, most Xbox fans saw the game as the platform’s answer to Sony’s Uncharted franchise.
However, Microsoft’s new stanceon being platform-agnostic on its first-party gameswas kickstarted last year, with Indiana Jones possibly the biggest game Xbox is porting to the PS5. PlayStation gamers are in for a treat, as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has animpressive Open Critic ratingof “Mighty,” with 95% of critics recommending it.
If you’re hoping for a sequel, you’re in luck. While Xbox hasn’t announced anything, IP owner Disney has already saidthey want more Indiana Jones gamesafter The Great Circle’s commercial success (and that’s not even factoring in the PS5 sales).
