An incredibly rare look into the behind-the-scenes development ofRed Dead Redemption 2has been revealed thanks to recently datamined files.

YouTuber Red Dead Redemption Storiestook a deep dive into the game’s files earlier this week, discovering multiple audio clips that remain unused and unheard. While the audio clips are incredibly close to the game’s final version, there is a pretty funny blooper that has likely never been heard by fans before.

In case you were thinking of hurting Arthur in Red Dead Redemption 2, there’s a very good reason why you shouldn’t.

As the discovered files are only audio, the YouTuber has gone through the effort to synchronize the audio with the relevant in-game cutscenes. The files that were discovered are related to one of the game’s main story quests, ‘A Quiet Time’, which sees Arthur and Lenny head into Valentine for a quiet drink after learning of Micah’s arrest.

While the dialogue does sound near perfect, if you listen closely, you’ll hear the footsteps of the actors as they walk around and other odd sounds that don’t sound quite right.

Out of the three audio files discovered, it is the second clip that will likely interest Red Dead Redemption 2 fans the most. The clip begins at 2 minutes and 6 seconds into the video, with the YouTuber noting that this dialogue recording is “pretty messy.” It also includes a handful of sentences that were cut from the final version.

Shortly into the clip, however, is a blooper from Dutch’s actor Benjamin Davis, who briefly goes off script as he accidentally stumbles over his line. “Fuck me, sorry,” Davis can be heard exclaiming as he hilariously messes up his line. The actor then lets out a laugh before continuing as normal. A pretty funny and incredibly rare thing to hear when it comes to Rockstar Games titles.

Fans responded to the discovered blooper with sheer excitement, with one user saying, “This is so sick and I’m surprised I haven’t seen a lot of the voice acting behind the scenes, would love to see more of it.” Another user took the comments to say, “thank you so much for sharing! I’ve always wished there was bts/blooper content for this game, I guess this is as close as we can get.”

If you’re a die-hard fan of Red Dead Redemption 2, you won’t want to miss out on this incredibly rare blooper, as it’s likely the only one we’ll ever hear.
