The next wave of Nintendo 64 games coming to the Nintendo Switch Online service may have been right there under our noses all along.
Back in late May, Nintendo releaseda trailer showcasing new featurescoming to N64 games on Nintendo Switch Online, including control remapping and, exclusive to Switch 2,a rewind feature and a CRT filter.

However, as first reported byIGN, one dedicated group of fans has been taking a closer look at that trailer, and they’re realizing that it may have shown off more than Nintendo planned, seemingly even including blurred images of games that are coming to the service.
What Games Were Shown?
The one leading the charge for this investigation is the VTuberImakuniVT, who worked together with her community on Discord to decipher the blurred box art.
The games they have identified areForsaken 64, Glover, Donkey Kong 64, and the original Super Smash Bros, as well as what is most likely Rayman 64.

It’s worth noting that, while Forsaken 64 was originally rated M, which would instead put it in the M-rated N64 app, it has since been re-rated to T by theESRB.
Nintendo GameCube Titles Coming To Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo Switch 2 will have access to GameCube games exclusively via the Nintendo Switch Online service, including The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
If you’re looking at the images in the post and can’t figure out how the box art can map to the blurred background, there’s a helpfulvideofrom GameXplain’s Andre Segers showing how applying a simple Gaussian blur effect to the Super Smash Bros box art is almost identical to the trailer footage.

Now, this doesn’t by any means tell us for sure that these games will definitely be added to the N64 service. The box art used could just be placeholders, or plans could change since the trailer was made.
Still, the prospect of an official version of the original Super Smash Bros with online play is exciting, or Nintendo releasing Donkey Kong 64 on the service to give it a new lease of life alongsidethe upcoming Donkey Kong Bananza.

The Nintendo Switch Online N64 service has been seeing a bit of a dry spell lately, since the only other additions it has seen in 2025 have beenRidge Racer 64 in JanuaryandKiller Instinct Gold in May.
