As spotted byThe Verge,Razerrecentlyannounceda new customizable controller for PS5 and PC called Wolverine V2 Pro. With some improvements compared to Wolverine V2 Chroma, the new controller will cost $249.99, which is $100 more expensive than Chroma and $50 more expensive thanDualSense Edge.

Despite its hefty price tag, Wolverine V2 Pro will not feature PS5’s signature haptic feedback on triggers, but for pro players who want to use such controllers for competitive purposes, haptic feedback is probably not a priority. That being said, users will be able to switch the travel distance of the triggers with two switches on the rear side of the controller.

Probably the most iconic feature that makes the controller stand out from Sony’s upcoming DualSense Edge is the fact that Razer uses Xbox’s analog alignment and positioning by putting the octagonal D-pad next to the right stick. The ergonomy of the controller also looks more like the Xbox Elite Series rather than DualSense. Razer uses grips on the two sides of the controller to avoid it slipping away from your hands. Also, an RGB lighting line appears between the dark grips and the white color of the controller.

Similar to DualSense, Wolverine V2 Pro will provide a touchpad in the middle couple with the Share and Options buttons on its sides. Two different analog sticks will be available for the controller and can be attached magnetically without any trouble. The difference between sticks relates to how deep your thumps go down to control the analogs.

On the rear side, Wolverine V2 Pro includes 4 back paddles. These paddles, along with two buttons on top of the controller next to triggers will be remappable through the Razer app. Unlike Xbox’s Elite Series, Razer’s back paddles don’t reach out to the grips and are located at the center.

Last but not least, the controller uses mecha-tactile switches for buttons, which requires a small amount of pressure to get the input from the user, feeling more like a click on the mouse rather than pressing a button on normal controllers. Obviously, this is something that competitive players would prefer.
