One of the practices I dislike the mostabout Atlus' RPGsis how they love locking secrets behind New Game+. I prefer doing everything in a single playthrough, but to this day, I haven’t played a singleJRPGfrom the developer that allows that (besides the definitive versions ofPersona 3and5).
To complement my rant, of courseRAIDOU Remasteredalso has a few collectibles locked behind New Game+, like Raiho, a Jack Frost cosplaying as Raidou Kuzunoha. And to make matters worse, he’s not even that big of a deal. It’s more of a reference than anything.

It wouldn’t be an JRPG without some sort of collectibles. But this time, demon-themed collectibles.
The worst part is, if you’re trying toregister all demons inRAIDOU Remastered, you’ll need a Clear Save Data with every single one of them before starting New Game+. Because if you do it beforehand, your Devil Chart will be incomplete when creating Raiho, and you’ll need to level up again since you’re starting back at level 1.
Anyway, you’re not here to listen to me complain. You’re here to figure outhow to fuse Raiho inRAIDOU Remastered.So let’s get to it, Detective Devil Summoner.
Requirements To Fuse Raiho
There are two requirements before you may even think about fusing Raiho. First, as already mentioned, you need to finish the game and start a new cycle, which is just theclassic New Game+for JRPGs.
Then,proceed with the game as usual until you run into Big Tarrasque and get the Red Wine from one of the Daidouji family’s maids. The game will give you a refresher on how fusion works.
From this point on, a new Case File will pop up. Titled No.45 A New Hero Emerges?, this quest asks you to get a Bancho Uniform from a named police detective.
You’ll need to talk to Kazama,who should now be standing near the south exit of Tsukudo-cho. But hold your horses, Devil Summoner, there’s one more thing.
If you speak with him and he hands over the Bancho Uniform, great! Proceed as intended. But if he doesn’t, it means you’ve been a unfriendly Devil Summoner and didn’t build enough loyaltytowards your demons.
How To Build Loyalty With Demons
Every time you win a battle, you earn both experience and loyalty.When a demon’s loyalty maxes out, it learns a new passive skill and also recovers your or his HP.
Depending onhow much total loyalty you’ve accumulated, Raidou will rank upand gain bonuses like new titles and more tubes to carry extra demons.
At first, I thought those titles were purely cosmetic and ignored them. Rookie mistake. Turns out, to get the Bancho Uniform and unlock Raiho’s fusion, youneed at least the title Master of Demons, earned after reaching 5900 loyalty points.

Maybe you should postpone your demonic cult initiation.
In other words, if you’ve got more than 5,900 loyalty points, Kazama will hand you the Bancho Uniform, and the Case File will continue. Otherwise, it’s time to grind some friendship with your demons.You can speed this up by soaking them with Sake.
Battling Against Raiho
Finally, once you’ve got the Bancho Uniform,head over to the front of the Goumaden to trigger a cutscene with a Jack Frost. He’ll have a chat with Victor and then walk out wearing a uniform identical to yours.
Soon, the game will give you three answer options. The correct choice is topick one of the wrong answers, like Raihee or Reiho, which triggers the immense wrath of the fearsome Raiho and starts the fight.But wait!
If you’re like me, you’re probably going into this fight underleveled. Raiho is level 26 and brings two level 16 Jack Frost and two level 12 Jack-o'-Lantern with him. I was level 17.
Raiho isn’t that tough, and his weakness is Volt spells, so bring Thor’s wrath with you. The problem is that every enemy demon is a caster, so you’ll be bombarded with spells left and right trying to wipe you out.
Since I wasn’t in the mood for nonsense,I dropped the difficulty to Sleuth, where both Raidou and your demons become immortal, and I took Raiho down.
And that’s it. We finish Case File No.45,which might net you the silver trophy Lightning Blade if you’ve cleared every Case File, and Raiho becomes available for fusion.
Since it’s New Game+, you probably have a bunch of demons unlocked to use as ingredients for Raiho. You might require some grinding, though, becauseyou’ll need to be level 26 to fuse this cosplaying Jack Frost.
Once you fuse Raiho, you’ll unlock the trophy Valiant Hero, and if you’ve completed the full Devil Chart, the gold trophy Unbound Summoner will also be yours.
