In a week sparse with new releases, the latest entry in thePokemonseries has bested the competition in the UK.
Upon launching this past Friday,Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DXhas taken home the top position on the weekly UK sales chart. Historically, thePokemon Mystery Dungeonseries has never lit up the sales charts, so it has to be encouraging for Nintendo to see the latest entry in the series doing so well out of the gate. Not to mention,Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DXwas simply a remake of the first entries in the series. For a remake of a nearly 15-year-old title to do so well is quite a good sign.
Outside ofPokemon’sdebut this week, there wasn’t anything worth noting outside of what we’ve come to expect in the past.Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis once again finding itself in the second position while the ever-successfulGrand Theft Auto Vis in third. Rounding out the top five is that ofFIFA 20andThe Division 2, which just had a new expansion launch last week. All in all, it’s a pretty standard week on the UK sales chart outside ofPokemon Mystery Dungeon’sdebut.
