Theevent will kickstart at 6pm local time, and players will have one hour, until 7 pm local time, to make the most of the event. During the event, Venonat and Venomoth will appear more frequently in the wild, giving players the perfect opportunity to add them to their team andcollect some candies.
Shiny Status & Bonuses
If you are looking to get your hands on a shiny Venonat or its evolution, there is some good news for you as theshiny variant of Venonat is available in this week’s Spotlight Hour. The shiny variant of Venonat has a number of similar characteristics to its regular sibling; however, what makes it stand apart is the color of its eyes. While the regular variant has pink eyes, theshiny variant has blue eyes, with a distinct neon touch to its fur coat. On the contrary, Venomoth undergoes pretty much a complete color change, as it is blue in color as compared to the regular light purple.
Considering how valuable shinies are, players would definitely be wanting to add them to their collection, but it is not going to be easy. Theshiny odds still remain unchanged during the event, and considering that it’s quite low to begin with, finding a shiny can be extremely hard. That being said, the overallspawn rate gets a massive boost, so you might still have better than regular chances to see a shiny Venonat.

Lastly, if you are looking for some bonuses this week, you will be getting twice the amount of candy you usually get for catching Pokemon. This applies to all Pokemon and not just Venonat, so even if you are not interested in catching Venonat, this event is a really good opportunity to stack up on some candies.
