ThePokemon GOSeason of Discovery just wrapped up and moved right into the Season of Mischief and with that has brought on thePokemon GOMisunderstand Mischief special research as well.
Special researches of the past have just been collections of tasks for you to complete that are split up into different steps, with you having to finish one step before moving onto the next.
The new Misunderstood Mischief special research though is quite different, as you cannot just run through it all in a short period of time. Instead, you will have to stay tuned throughout the Season of Mischief to finish it.
How To Unlock MorePokemon GOMisunderstood Mischief Research
The first step of Misunderstood Mischief is pretty basic, tasking you with getting 10 Nice Throws, using one Incense, and taking three snapshots of wild Psychic-type Pokemon. However, you will notice a bit of an issue after completing it and redeeming your rewards.
Upon completing the first step, typically you are then given the next set of tasks for you to complete to then move onto the third. ThePokemon GOMisunderstood Mischief special research is quite different though, as you are instead greeted with a message.
Every two steps of the research were implemented to stop players from moving forwards too quickly and this looks likely to be the case throughout as well.
When will step 12/13 of 16 unlock?
Step 11 of the Misunderstood Mischief research has now gone live as part of the Halloween Event, with step 12 waiting for those who complete it.
Step 12 of 16 in the Misunderstood Mischief research is much like steps 2, 4 and 6, 8 and 10 in the fact that it’s a placeholder.
Step 12 is in place to stop players from advancing to step 13 of the research and unfortunately, nothing more than that. It is a free 720 XP and Stardust though.
Niantic has confirmed that step 13 of the Misunderstood Mischief Research Story will unlock as part of the Festival of Lights event which kicks off on November 5.
