Ever since Generation 1, thePokemonEevee has been a huge fan-favorite. One thing that makes this adorable fox-like Pokemon so popular is its ability to evolve into its many different evolutions. These evolutions are so popular that fans have given them the nickname “Eeveelutions.”

Whether you want a Dark-Type, Fairy-Type, or even a Grass-Type, Eevee has you covered. Here is a guide to figuring out how to obtain each evolution in the game.
Eevee’s Evolutions
There are eight evolutions that Eevee can evolve into. Each of these evolutionscan be forced into evolving once by using certain nicknames. After you have used the nickname to evolve your Eevee,you can never use that nickname more than once. Once you have used the nickname, you must make use of other means to evolve your Eevee.
You want to ensure that the evolution outline is showing the Eevee evolution you want. If it doesn’t show the correct evolution, or it shows a question mark, do not evolve it. You can turn the game off and back on to reset this. You also want to make sure you’re meeting the requirements.Any Eevee with a question mark as the evolution will be either Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon.
Type:Water-Type
Nickname: Rainer
How to Evolve: If you have already used the nickname, Rainer, unfortunately,you cannot force an Eevee to evolve into a Vaporeon.You will just need to randomly evolve Eevees until one becomes a Vaporeon. All Eevees that haven’t met special requirements will evolve into either Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon randomly.
Type:Electric-Type
Nickname: Sparky
How to Evolve: If you have already used the nickname Sparky, unfortunately,you cannot force an Eevee to evolve into a Jolteon.You will just need to randomly evolve Eevees until one becomes a Jolteon.All Eevees that haven’t met special requirements will evolve into either Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon randomly.

Type:Fire-Type
Nickname: Pyro
How to Evolve: If you have already used the nickname Pyro, unfortunately,you cannot force an Eevee to evolve into a Flareon.You will just need to randomly evolve Eevees until one becomes a Flareon. All Eevees that haven’t met special requirements will evolve into either Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon randomly.
Type:Grass-Type
Nickname: Linnea
How to Evolve: If you have already used the Linnea nickname, you may still evolve your Eevee into a Leafeon.All you need to do is use a Mossy Lure on a Pokestop near you and then evolve your Eevee. As long as your character is by the Mossy Lure, any Eevees evolved will be Leafeon.Make sure Leafeon is the Pokemon that is showing before evolving your Eevee.
Type:Ice-Type
Nickname: Rea
How to Evolve: If you’ve used the nickname Rea already, you can evolve Eevee into Glaceon in a similar way as Leafeon.All you need to do is use a Glacial Lure on a Pokestop near you and evolve your Eevee.Any Eevees evolved near these Lures will automatically be Glaceon.However, you want to make sure Glaceon is the Pokemon showing up before you evolve Eevee.
Type:Psychic-Type
Nickname: Sakura
How to Evolve: If you have used the Sakura nickname, you have another option for evolving Eevee into Espeon.You must make Eevee your Buddy Pokemon, walk 10km and then evolve Eevee during the day.Eevee must remain as your Buddy Pokemon while you evolve it. It almost must be done during the day if you want Espeon.Make sure the evolution shows Espeon before you evolve Eevee.

Type:Dark-Type
Nickname: Tamao
How to Evolve: If you have already used the nickname Tamao, Umbreon can be evolved in a similar manner to Espeon.You will need to make the Eevee your Buddy Pokemon and walk 10km then evolve it at night.As with Espeon, Eevee must remain as your Buddy Pokemon as you evolve it. This Pokemon must be evolved at night.Once again, verify that the evolution you want is the one showing before evolving.
Type: Fairy-Type
Nickname: Kira
How to Evolve: After you have used the nickname, Kira, there is only one way to evolve Sylveon. Sylveon is known for needing a high friendship level to evolve.You will need to make the Eevee your Buddy Pokemon andearn 70 Buddy Hearts with it.After accomplishing this, you can evolve Eevee into Sylveon. However, you need to ensure Eevee is still your Buddy Pokemon when evolved.Make sure that Sylveon shows up as the evolution before evolving.If for some reason it isn’t showing Sylveon, you can exit the game and restart it.
