The event will kick off at6 pm local time, and players will have until 7 pm local timeto make the most of the event. During this period,Dunsparce will appear more frequently in the wild. Can Dunsparce Be Shiny In Pokemon GO?
For players looking to add a shiny Dunsparce to their collection, there is some good news as theshiny variant of Dunsparce exists in Pokemon GO. The shiny variant of Dunsparce was added to Pokemon GO as part of the Throwback Challenge: Johto all the way back in 2020. The regular variant of Dunsparce is yellow and green in color, but theshiny variant gets a small change, with the shades of green replaced with pink. It can be a bit difficult to spot since the pink elements are slight, but you can also rely on theshiny icon present beside the Pokemon’s CP, or thesparklesyou see in thebackground.
As with the previous Spotlight Hour events, it should be noted that theshiny rates aren’t boostedfor this event, and it will be quite difficult for you to get your hands on a shiny Dunsparce. Theincreased spawn rate does improve your chancesoverall as compared to a regular day, so you should still have a shot at the event.

This week, players will be gettingtwice the amount of Stardustthey usually get for catching Pokemon. The Stardust catch bonus applies toall Pokemonand not just Dunsparce, so even if you are not looking to catch Dunsparce, you can still take part in the event to collect some Stardust. Stardust is acrucial itemin Pokemon GO as it can be used topower up your Pokemon, and these events serve as one of the best ways to collect it.
