Thankfully, the region of Paldea offers an alternative way to pay for these items. They’re something calledLeague Points. Read on to learn more about this currency and how to get more of it.
What Are League Points (LP)?
League Points (or LP for short) is simply another form of currency in the Paldea region. It can be used similarly to cash in every aspect, whether you’re spending money at a Poké Mart, clothes shop, salon, or whatever else. However, the way you go about earning is unique for the most part.
For starters, participating intrainer battles doesn’t directly earn you LP. You also can’t earn them by selling items such as Nuggets or Stardust at Poké Marts. That being said, there are a number of things you can do to build up your LP, some of which can overlap with each other, so you’ll end up with quite a large amount in the end if you make it your focus. Well, below are some effective methods to earn LP easily and more quickly.

Method 1 - Save Up Your Materials
When battling wild Pokémon in Paldea, they’ll often drop various materials. These materials can be used at a green device in the Pokémon Center called theTechnical Machine Machine(that’s exactly what it’s called). From there, you can make TMs to teach your Pokémon moves. The more TMs and materials you find, the more TMs you can make from the machine. If you’re trying to amass League Points, however, you can do something else at the TM Machine instead.
Instead of using the materials to make TMs,the materials you gather can be traded for LP. The amount you get can vary depending on the item, which will let you know which ones are very rare (a good rule to remember is that therarity of the Pokémon’s material depends on the overall rarity of that Pokémon, and vice versa).Materials can quickly be gathered by utilizing the Let’s Go feature, which sends your leading Pokémon out to battle wild Pokémon automatically. Just make sure not to send out a Pokémon with a type weakness to the wild Pokémon, or else they’ll get worn out.

Method 2 - Check Out Tera Raid Dens
Throughout the Paldea Region, you will find sparkling crystal dens emitting a tower of light. These are calledTera Raid Densand are made available to you once you unlock Terastallizing and your Treasure Hunt begins. You can also find them by looking at the type icons on your map.
When interacting with these Tera Raid Dens, you’ll receive some LP. The amount you’ll receive depends on the difficulty of the dens. You don’t actually need to take on the Tera Raid Battles to earn the LP. However, you can do so to get materials that you can trade for even more LP. The light that the dens emit will go away once you interact with them, so take that as an indicator that you’ve already been there.

Method 3 - Defeat Sparkling Pokémon
Outside Tera Raid Dens, some wild Pokémon have the ability toTerastallize on their own. These Pokémon are indicated by a sparkling light, similar to that of the Tera Raid Dens themselves. you may tell the difference from afar by the color of the glow and the glow not being marked by an icon on your map. When you interact with the Pokémon, it will Terastallize before battling with you.
In this case, all you need to do is battle the wild Pokémon.Defeating it or catching it will give you a hefty amount of LP. Don’t worry about making it feint if you want to catch it. Its health will go down a set amount before getting knocked out of its Tera Form, providing you with an opening. With that in mind, don’t be afraid to hit it as hard as you’re able to while it’s Terastallized.

Method 4 - Raid Team Star Bases
The Treasure Hunt allows you to go through three different storylines as you find your own treasure. One of those storylines includes battling the evil organization of Paldea, Team Star. The character that assigns you this task, namedCassiopeia, calls it"Operation Starfall.“The task is toutilize the Let’s Go feature to defeat a number of the Grunts' Pokémonwithin a certain amount of time before facing the leader of each base.
In successfully defeating the leader and dismantling a base,Cassiopeia will reward you with lots of LPs directly to your phone, as well as new TM recipes. They will then send a member of their operation, who happens to be Penny, to your location. She’ll give you lots of materials to make those new TMs. However, you’re able to instead sell those materials for even more LP.
