Morgana’s Confidant Overview
Similar toSae Niijima’sconfidant,Morgana’s confidant starts and ranks up automatically as you progress through the story.
As this social link ranks up, you will unlock the basic mechanics of the game, such as the ability to craft infiltration tools and perform follow-up abilities.
Here, I have prepared a table enlisting all the perks you will unlock from this social link and their description.
Description
Infiltration Tools
Allows you to craft basic infiltration tools.
Chance to perform a follow-up attack if Joker’s attack does not down the enemy.
Kitty Talk
If negotiations with an animal type Shadow fail, you can try again.
Pickpocket
Chance to obtain an item when Joker performs a melee attack.
Allows you to craft all infiltration tools.
Harisen Recovery
Chance to cure status ailments inflicted upon party members.
Chance to withstand an otherwise fatal attack with 1HP remaining.
Chance to shield Joker from an otherwise fatal attack.
Second Awakening
Transform Persona into a mythological trickster.
While Morgana’s confidant is certainly unique, that doesn’t stop it from having some fantastic perks.
Once you reach rank 10, Morgana’s persona Zorro will transform into Mericurius, andyou will be granted the Evade Electricity special skill. I would call this one of thebest passive skillsfor Mercurius, as it will greatly increase your chances of evading Morgana’s one weakness.
Morgana’s persona will alsoundergo a second transformation into Diego, provided that you reach thesecret Royal arcat the end of the game.
Ranking Up
As stated previously, the Magician’s confidant will rank up automatically as you progress through the story.You do not have to worry about clearing your schedule for specific days of the week and spending time with Morganaduring that timeframe.

Magician Personas And Bonuses
Upon reaching the end of Morgana’s social link,you will gain the ability to fuse the ultimate Magician’s Persona, Futsunushi.
Let’s not forget that with each rank up, you will gain a greater persona XP bonus every time you obtain a Magician’s arcana persona throughfusion.
If you are ever close to a rank-up date for Morgana’s confidant, I will recommend passing through that date first before crafting a new Magician’s arcana persona.

Surt has been my favorite endgame fire persona, not just inPersona 5 Royalbut also inPersona 3 ReloadandPersona 4 Golden.
His abilities, such as theBlazing Hell and Fire Amp, can stack up to be the most dangerous fire attack in the game.
Let’s not forget that Surt can also obtain the Evade Ice skill, which increases his chances to evade his one weakness threefold.
However, what truly makes Surt the ultimate fire persona is theFire Lineage skill that gives you a chance on each turn to decrease his fire attacks' SP cost by half.
