However, sometimes there are resources that are not very easy to come by, and you just need a little more before you may make a really big stride in your progress. This is when a player might find it’s time to craft a Meat Cleaver, and one of their Pals might find itself on the chopping block — literally.

It now better reflects players performing the act of butchering, but also describes an alternative option of how players may use their Pals in the Pal Condenser instead.
How To Get The Meat Cleaver
Players will be able to gain access to the Meat Cleaver through theTier 12 portion of the Technology tab. However, you will need certain structures, materials, andsome Technology Points to unlockthe option of crafting it. First, progress the Technology tab to Tier 10 andunlock a Primitive Furnaceby spending the required Technology Points.
You will need some Wood, Stone, andFlame Organs. You canget Flame Organs from Foxparksas a possible drop item, and you’re able to find these Foxparks over atGrassy Bahemoth Hills. It is worth noting that if you also catch one of these Foxparks, you canput it to workat your base with the Primitive Furnace.
Then keep progressing the Technology tab to Tier 12 and spend 2 Technology Pointsto unlock the Meat Cleaver. Once done, you will need to use the Primitive Furnace to get some Ingots. To do this, you willneed to go get some ore. You can then go and craft your Meat Cleaver over at your Primitive Workbench — it will require5 Ingots, 20 Wood, and 5 Stone.

How To Butcher Pals
The Meat Cleaver can be used as a melee weapon, but you will have plenty of stronger options. Instead, what you will want touse it for is butchering Palsyou don’t need. Equip the Meat Cleaver as one of your weapons, andput the Pal you wish to butcher into your party. Send out the Pal and then open up your emote wheel to see“Butcher” has replaced “Pet"as an option for interacting with your Pal. When you select to use this, the act of butchering will be censored to protect more squeamish players — whenplaying with friends, it is possible to tilt the screen just right so that the censorship blur is to the side of the butchering.
It is worth mentioning thatanything you caught with a Pal Sphereis fair gain when it comes to butchering —including humans. If you have a caught boss Pal, you canbutcher it for a second round of boss items. This is very useful when you need someextra Ancient Civilization Parts. Remember, once you butcher a Pal, it is gone forever — meaningyou cannot try to revive themafterward.
Should You Butcher Or Use Pal Condenser?
You may be fed up with one of yourPals always slacking offinstead of working. If you check your Pal’s passives, you will seesome Pals have skills that boost their work ethic, or perhaps a passive that lowers their attack strength. Pals with thesenegative passives are a liabilityand may seem like the obvious choice to be butchered. However, you may want toconsider using the Pal Condenserover the Meat Cleaver. This will allow you tomake one of your good Pals even better. A good example is Vixy, which will stop dropping Pal Spheresand start dropping Mega Spheresif you condense enough of your other Vixy Pals into it.
