The actress’ work has been recognized by several prestigious award events that were held recently including The Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards. She was nominated in the Best Actress category in both events. The Oscar nominations were announced minutes ago and shockingly Robbie is nowhere to be seen in the Best Actress category.

The Oscars Shockingly Snubs Margot Robbie in The Best Actress Category
Margot Robbiehas been the ‘It’ girl of 2023 as herBarbiemovie created the most noise in the industry and created a worldwide phenomenon in the world. In addition to becoming the biggest-grossing movie of the year, Robbie herself has been applauded by many and has been recognized in the Awards season.
While no one believes that she should win in the Best Actress category, every award event has nominated the actress in the category. In the same vein, many were in the belief that she would at least get an Oscar nomination for her performance.
However, the Oscars have shockingly decided to omit her from the final nominated list that was announced some minutes ago (viaX). The actresses nominated for the award include Annette Benning (Nyad), Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a Fall), Carey Mulligan (Maestro), and Emma Stone (Poor Things)
This is pretty surprising as the Oscars seem to have taken a different route with who or what they decide to nominate. Fans of Robbie and the film will surely be infuriated with the Academy’s decision to omit the actress from the category. Interestingly, Leonardo DiCaprio is also not seen in the Best Actors list despite being nominated for other awards. The Academy certainly made some bold decisions for their nominations.

Cillian Murphy Finally Receives His First Oscar Nomination forOppenheimer
Cillian Murphy impressed everyone with his tour de force performance in Christopher Nolan’sOppenheimer. After winning a Golden Globe for Best Actor, he has another huge reason to celebrate as he has been nominated for an Oscar for the first time in his career for his performance in the film (viaX).
It is also exciting to see that Robert Downey Jr also got his 3rd Oscar nomination for the film (viaX). However, it is not going to be an easy one for Murphy as Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers)is expected to give tough competition. Giamatti won Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards and the two actors are expected to be the two leading contenders for the award.
