As per the recent updates about the Egghead Island arc inOne Piece, the Five Elders, also known as the Gorosei, have finally entered the battle. While most of them are focused on defeating Luffy and the Giants Dorry and Brogy who are aiding them, two of the Five Elders have been occupied elsewhere.

Saint Marcus Mars is trying to stop the broadcast by Vegapunk and Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, is dealing with the Pacifistas who are wreaking havoc on the Navy soldiers and their ships. All in all, the series is getting ready for a big battle, before it proceeds further to the next arc of the final saga, the Elbaf arc.

However, there is one battle that theOne Piecefans are eagerly anticipating in the Egghead Island arc and that is between the two Swordsman present in the fight: Roronoa Zoro and V. Nusjuro. There have been many indications about Zoro fighting Nusjuro in Egghead, but one theory claims that there is more to their fight than just finding out who is the better swordsman.

One PieceTheory Reveals Zoro’s Connection With Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro

According to aOne Piecetheory posted by @RollinRoronoa on X(Formerly Twitter), Zoro and V. Nusjuro are not only linked with each other because they are swordsmen. They also share a link because of their roots emerging from Wano.

The theory states that as Nusjuro was seen carrying one of the strongest Shodai Kitetsu swords, he might be a resident of Wano and his family could have been the feudal lords of Kuri.

When Zoro was fighting Gyukimaro in Wano over Ryuma’s sword, Gyukimaru revealed that Wano was known as the City of Gold and thus it attracted the attention of a lot of pirates and even Celestial Dragons. The theory states that as Nusjuro is the God of Finance, he must have stolen the gold from Wano and used it as leverage to get a seat among the Celestial Dragons and later became one of the Five Elders.

Not only that, he might have also shared vital information about the country with the Five Elders thus becoming a traitor to Wano. During that time, Wano was under the protection of Ryuma “The King”who is also related to Zoroas revealed byEiichiro Oda. Nusjuro betraying Wano would have resulted in him facing the wrath of Ryuma, but he would have somehow managed to escape from him, thus leaving Ryuma’s justice unsettled.

Zoro Might Avenge Ryuma By Defeating Nusjuro

As it has already been revealed in theOne Piecestory that Zoro was a distant relative of Ryuma, if the theory holds any credence, it might fall in the hands of Zoro to avenge Ryuma and defeat Nusjuro. This would be a perfect way of representing Zoro’s lineage that was left incomplete during the Wano arc and also help in the development of the anticipated fight between the two swordsmen.

Additionally, if Zoro somehow manages to fight Nusjuro and defeat him it will bring him one step closer to his goal of achieving the title of the Strongest Swordsman in the world. Him defeating one of the Five Elders alone would not only gain him strength and power but also bring him a lot of fame in the Pirate world.

Although there are some holes in thisOne Piecetheory, it sets the perfect setting for the battle between Zoro and Nusjuro which is bound to happen one way or the other. Also, Zoro’s battle with Lucci has ended and he might be on his way to help his captain, which could pit him against the Gorosei.
