One Piecehas often surprised the fans with revelations that did not cross their minds. The most recent scenario of Eiichiro Oda completely making a fool out of the fans when he revealed Monkey D. Luffy’s Devil Fruit to be a Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, and not Gomu Gomu no Mi. The revelation happened during the Wano arc, which made Luffy transform into Gear 5 and defeat Kaido.
Even though Eiichiro Oda fooled the fans, they were overjoyed when they saw Luffy’s transformation. After knowing that nothing is out of bounds for Oda sensei, fans have begun to feel there might be another Devil Fruit whose true nature and abilities are yet to be revealed. The mentioned Devil Fruit is Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Human, which belongs to Tony Tony Chopper.
Chopper’s Devil Fruit Might Have Hidden Abilities
The Gomu Gomu no Mi was thought to be a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, but after its original name was revealed, it turned out to be a Zoan-type Devil Fruit named after the Sun God Nika. In the same way, fans believe Tony Tony Chopper’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Human is not the original name of his Devil Fruit. They have theorized it to be a mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit named Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Bigfoot.

The fans have put forward several reasons for such abizarre theory. The Zoan-type Devil Fruits have three forms, namely base, partial, and full transformation. In Chopper’s case, base is when he stands on all four limbs since he is a reindeer. The partial transformation is the one he usually feels comfortable with. It is when he stands on two legs and has horns protruding out of his hats, with people often mistaking him as a ‘tanuki.’
The full transformation is when he used the special abilities life Guard Point, Heavy Point, Jump Point, etc. But in none of these full transformations, he becomes a full human. He always has his signature blue nose and a furry coat around his neck. In every Zoan-type transformation, the users leave no signs of their normal form. Marco becomes a full phoenix, and Rob Lucci becomes a full leopard with his ears and nose resembling that of a big cat, but the only exception is Queen.

Queen of the Beast Pirates keeps his iconic ponytail and mustache intact even after a full transformation. The theory says it could be due to the modifications of his body. So, it can be that his Devil Fruit is not the Human Model, but instead the Bigfoot model. Bigfoot is a legendary giant creature with human attributes but is covered in thick fur like the animals in a cold region. The description matches Tony Tony Chopper perfectly.
One Piece’s Chopper Could Have His Bounty Increased
Tony Tony Chopper’s Devil Fruit being Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Bigfoot makes a lot more sense than his human model. His attributes resemble that of Bigfoot. Moreover, it also explains all of his transformations, especially the rage transformations. In the anime, he is seen to take Rumble Balls to enhance his abilities, but once he awakens his true powers, he might not need them anymore.

Tony Tony Chopper’s abilities as a doctor have proven more than helpful to the Straw Hat pirates, saving them multiple times. He exceeded all of their expectations during the raid on Onigashima after finding an antidote to Queen’s Ice Oni, even after being infected by it. On the other hand, even though he has fought strong opponents and won, his bounty never seems to increase.
But with the Bigfoot revelations, his bounty might go up, and he might face stronger opponents in the future. Chopper is never satisfied with his bounty since he is considered to be the Straw Hats’ pet. But it could soon change with the Devil Fruit revelation. But for the moment, it still is a theory, and until official confirmation fromEiichiro Oda, it will remain so.
